If I still remember, F-Secure also uses Kaspersky Engine.

And,good news for Kaspersky Users,a new heuristics engine for Kaspersky AntiVirus and Kaspersky Internet Secuirty will be launched end of this year.

And also, the new BitDefender 10 will also be launched in September 2006.

There is no diiference between the trial and the commercial version. The only extra in the trial is the purchase button. functionality are same and not crippled in anyway if you dicount the fact that the updates are only for 30 days.

new kaspersky very leceh in what sense? afaik the latest v6 is much more user-friendly & less resource hog than its predecessor, can consider AVS if kaspersky is too 'heavy' for you icon_idea.gif

Not to mention, the old Kaspersky v5 uses ADS if you selected iStreams. Unistalling it causes your com to really die... Mine died... 2 weeks back... BSOD. I heard, they no longer use ADS in v6. So, it shouldn't be so painfull when it comes to uninstalling.

In terms of anti-virus, there will always be virus that will be detected by "antivirus A" but not "antivirus B", but at the same time, there are also virus that "antivirus B" can detect which "antivirus A" can not.

Hi,
If you can show me an AV program that can detect all the viruses created, you can be quite convince that the AV company has something to do with the creation/manipulation of the virus.
Most if not all AV companies rely on sampling by the public, researchers and ITW journalist. There will be some misses as the data is not shared openly at the moment.
There suppose to be works on sharing samples amongst AV companies but i have not seen it as yet. Even with virus naming, there is still several names for the same virus.
If you will kindly check resources such as virus bulleting and www.av-comparatives.org, you will see no company in the world can claim that they catch all threats.

regards...
