Not to mention, the old Kaspersky v5 uses ADS if you selected iStreams. Unistalling it causes your com to really die... Mine died... 2 weeks back... BSOD. I heard, they no longer use ADS in v6. So, it shouldn't be so painfull when it comes to uninstalling.

I doubt it, but I guess it will tell you it has loads of exploits (as in dangerous downloads...)

I've got news that it is now Norton 2007. Please do check it up for me. Pricing? Depends on where you buy it. If it is a legal copy, should be approx RM300-500 for OEM version. If it is the "..." copy, well, I won't say any further. Cheers!

Standardly? What standard? ISO? Specific please. Some AVs are overpriced, some under-priced. There are no fix standards. The only people who fix the pricing are the vendors, obviously. Cheers!

OK. I must agree with you on this. But bear in mind, less functions, less price. But then again, there are extreme pricing too.(That's why I disagree with the approximate pricing posted by bean_man. No offense.) Cheers!

I must agree. AVG is slowly becoming like Norton. Popular but less reliable... I never depended on AVG. AntiVir is perfect! (Just a punk only!) Cheers!

Ah. Now that is some news I never knew... AVG is really a half-past-six AV. Removes things halfway... wow... LOL.

Cheers!

Yeah, but those ignorant ppl have a perception that AVG is able to remove brontok but doesn't know the fact that the registry is not fixed doh.gif

Removing the physical file but not the registry. If it is not half-past-six, then...? LOL.

If I am not mistaken, entering the key can be done offline. It is only to activate the program, unless the program needs to report back to its main server to confirm the "availability" of the key. Cheers!

Amongst the Good Ones,

Kaspersky Online Scanner
TrendMicro Online Scanner
Panda Online Scanner

Others, I am not sure.

For individual files, JottiScan would be good. Cheers!

Online Scanners don't have enough privilege to remove malware. They only detect, sadly.

But you can remove the junk manually. YAY. LOL. Cheers!

In my Opinion, Use G-Data as a Backup Scanner, Not the One running as a Real-Time Monitor. Cheers! (Then you won't have slower speeds. YAY)

If so, then follow the report. smile.gif

I am saying in cases where the user feels significant lag on the computer. Cheers!

P.S. NOD32 Rules. Light weight yet accurate!

1 GB for 10 AVs? Please friend, before you can reach the 6 AV mark, Already 2-3 conflicts + 2 BSODs. Don't be silly...

Not to mention, 1GB is not adequate for 10 AVs. What about processing power? You can't Run 10 AVs on a P3 500 MHz... Lag like turtles...

No offense, Cheers!

(=.=) This is not going anyway.

@tan_pang
If you need the entry to be in front, please PM shockw@ve to add it in. No point discussing. If no Mod sees this, nothing will go there.

No offense. Cheers!
