yeah...when it become powerful, all the program running will ask permission.even for simple one...this lead to waste of time even though get more security.hope firewall more user friendly but can give better security hmm.gif

not only that
sometimes we dunno what kind of process is that, and accidentaly permit/block it...

thats why i dislike Jetico Firewall which ask for every process permission

I think it's quite powerful. I went to do GRC's Shields Up and managed to pass the test. Just that, it's not that user friendly like I mentioned here. smile.gif

i've installed pc tools firewall plus.
when i wanna shut down my pc, the my pc will hang for about 2 minutes, then shut down.
if i manually close the firewall, followed by shutting down windows, the shut down process is smooth and normal.

anybody face this problem? or can someone recommend me an easy to use firewall? i've tried comodo before.

Firewall leak-tests results (matousec.com)

1. Comodo Firewall Pro 2.4.16.174
2. Jetico Personal Firewall 2.0.0.16 beta
3. ZoneAlarm PRO 7.0.302.000

Personally I think hardware firewall is a better option. It might only need to be turned on in your existing modem.
