anyone tried this firewall

i might wanna change to this since is free , lesser trouble

experience , i dont think i can simply change ths system date and the firewall trial time will backward

bro do u got any prob with the pc tools firewall in connecting to messenger? I find out that my Yahoo messenger is so hard to get through, is it because of the software or my connection?

i think is the control over sum hiddden setting.

so far , i get feed up with zone alarm
and outpost is good but difficult to set up
pc tool firewall , just heard of it never have free time to test it

currently on window firewall , so far so good

i think nothing problem with pc tools firewall, it's maybe just my connection a little bit lame since the connection is also not fully recover...see the news..

when install Zone Alarm, it will told me juz install it on
Admistrator account
but im using Admistrator account!!
and sometimes even ask me to shut down TrueVector service in Windows Task Manager...
but i cant find that TrueVector...

how to install Zone Alarm Free??
btw, the installer i got is v7

Hello. What firewall software do you guys recommend to use in Windows Vista? I notice that Outpost, Zonealarm and so on aren't compatible with it. Thanks.

Yeah. The Windows Firewall's interface in Windows Vista is about the same as Windows XP's. But I think it's a more powerful one. Therefore, I'm not planning to use any 3rd-party firewall software already.

Too powerful of firewall capability will lead to inflexibility

sometimes we dunno what kind of process is that, and accidentaly permit/block it...

thats why i dislike Jetico Firewall which ask for every process permission

I think it's quite powerful. I went to do GRC's Shields Up and managed to pass the test. Just that, it's not that user friendly like I mentioned here.

i've installed pc tools firewall plus.
when i wanna shut down my pc, the my pc will hang for about 2 minutes, then shut down.
if i manually close the firewall, followed by shutting down windows, the shut down process is smooth and normal.

anybody face this problem? or can someone recommend me an easy to use firewall? i've tried comodo before.

i'm on PC Tools Firewall, i must say it's a good Firewall comparing with ZoneAlarm because, i've got false alarm (like i told you guys earlier in other thread), with this, even after installed Ares, there's no incoming/outcoming connection, when no internet activity, there're really no internet activity... , not sure if it something to do with Ares, because, i also re-download Ares from it's site
