yes, you can... doh.gif why so lazy didnt go search... zzzz

QUOTE(yhoong12 @ Jul 29 2013, 10:08 AM)
hmm, when you fill in white card sure u need to fill in the address, i think normally they will ask whose unit is that, maybe you can say is friend house, last time when i come interview, i also say like that, no issue for me. Your gf landlord charges you is consider off book one so is untraceable, so i think is ok, just your owner want to take pre-caution step to prevent any legal issue happen, but this is just my 2 cent
*
address just put mariba bay sands ler.. they would be eppi to let you in

I am very happy to receive the HDB approval letter for my purchase of a resale unit. Finally I can have my own place! the expected handover date is in mid September smile.gif

And tomorrow I will be registering P1 for my son under Phase 2C.

Will be more than happy to share the process (both HDB resale and P1 registration) when they are complete smile.gif

hi... I just got an appointment letter from my company. the first 6 months they'll cut 15% of my salary. that's a part of my income tax and after 6 months they won't cut any of my salary and that's also because they are afraid that I'll leave without saying anything. is there a lae suh like mine? and also is 15 percent quite high?
*
15% is on a witholding basis... either it will be use to knock of your income tax or returned to you, they have no rights to hold your $ unless they put it in a way whereby your basic will start 15% less then they give you a 15% raise but this 15%less amount must be in the employment letter and not cut off what's agreed

hmm guys, for example, now I have accepted a job offer in SG, however its not up to my expectation. Would leave a bad reputation if I were to apply for another job while serving my probation and if I get another offer, just leave during probation?
*
discuss with your current employer on the gap between your expectation and what they have to offer... probably it is possible for them to compensate in some way or to make better

yes, bad reputation but it is only within that company..

Dear all,

I would like to seek for your kind advice on a few questions.
I will complete my degree in dec/2013.
May I know when can I start applying for a job in SG?
Can I apply before the result of the final semester is released?
Thank you for the help.
Have a good day (:
*
anytime, as long as the employer is willing to wait... ideally 2 months before, yes you can, no law say you cant

QUOTE(akioen @ Aug 1 2013, 12:06 AM)

anyone thinks MYR will drop further? dunno if wanna change now or wait. also, any money changer to rekomen around Bugis/Chinatown/Simei?
*
nope.. doubt it will drop any further unless msia gets another rating downgrade...

well, cash market among all the changers are bad.. d best is RP through remittance at 2.518 only...

at midvalley still can get 2.52 cash, but risk being rob unsure.gif

QUOTE(crazy25kid @ Aug 1 2013, 02:18 PM)
Did you read the title?
It clearly states subletting of ROOMS.
If it is a 1 bedroom unit (1 and 2 room flats in SG basically means 1 bedroom)...what room will you be subletting with you still staying inside?
For this case, it is under subletting the whole flat.
Read properly...there is a link for whole flat sublet on the left.
*
waa... you're very detailed ar... rclxms.gif

Internet 2.549 while Chinatown stall offer 2.485. I think they are stuck with old stock.  I think when the rate change too fast it is better to check out the bank remittance rate first before changing at counter.
*
some are using moving average rate... not exact spotrate.. supply got myr is also dwindling, thats why they can put a lower rate due to demand

Bedbug don't normally go into the house unless it was brought back from outside. Planes, hotels etc. Normally I get it when I come back from travelling, luggage being mix around with others in the bottom of the plane. My housemates seldom travel so I am the main suspect hehe. Try note the next time you got bedbug attack, any of your housemates travel overseas or not. Very annoying bug.

To those who working around toa payoh singapore, can give me some advise on accomodation?

I will be based at Mcdermott office, at this link
https://maps.google.com.sg/maps?saddr=Lor+3...&sz=18&t=m&z=18
its so fortunate that around theres plenty of hdb that is within walking distance. Ive checked the cheapest room that i can get is at 400$, however most prefers locals and female LOL. anyway this is not the matter. As there are so many selections, which one is the best to live at? Maybe max around 600$, cheaper the better la of course.

In such a short time that i have to decide, i may not know the demographics, crime rates, ammenities, hdb facilities, etc etc... Thanks!
*
congrats... got a angmoh classmate there... anna, if u happened to met her..

QUOTE(pherac @ Aug 15 2013, 03:55 AM)
Hi guys,

I've recently completed my ACCA course and am looking for a job in Singapore.

Does anyone know anybody who's working at audit firm?
I'm very stressed out by this job hunt thing and I wanna do the best I can to increase the chances of getting hired  even if by just a lil bit.

I got robbed twice in KL and I don't feel safe anywhere in Malaysia.
My best bet will be Singapore as auditor is a job that requires working late nights and going home alone late at night. I don't even dare to imagine what will happen if I ever do that in KL!
*
err, those that i know in audit had already left.. no one stays long there

all d best and i wish u luck...

QUOTE(Find The Way @ Aug 15 2013, 08:37 AM)
Hi guys, any recommended money changer where I can negotiate better rate if I'm going to exchange SGD9K?
*
d famous places are raffles place the arcade/clifford centre, boon lay jurong point, mustafa, choa chu kang, bedok idunnowhere

do u want your rm in cash? or it would be better to transfer straight into your account?

remittance gives better rate, i got 2.545 today with remittance but of course i transferred double your amount

if you dont mind waiting, i do bulk transfer on and off, so a few ppl will group up with me and transfer one huge chunk so we have more bargaining power with the money changer.. feel free to pm me if you want to join

QUOTE(keeystar @ Aug 15 2013, 10:04 AM)
hi all, just wanna check smt, is pps allowed in sg? i know p2p bt download are illegal but how about those pps or webstream?
*
legally yes, but like what sientong says, it depends on material.. and i also believe it is important whether you made money out of it.. eg, play it at a commercial place, use it at karaoke... etc etc, if it is for personal consumption usually they wont go after you..
