Lol, technically Nefarian is a badass because his father Deathwing is a bigger badass in WC2.

BTW, your post really melt faces in this thread tongue.gif

That's show that u dont know how to play ur priest or evenshadowpriest well and certainly dosent know the mechanics of the game, only noobs go oom even i have to say that. It would be only take a retard to get aggro with talent help - 45% aggro talent + 30% (salvation) thats -75% aggro management not too mention with help of fade. sigh. QFT
But how many shadow priests are actually going to spec into affinity and resolve together just for raiding? And Horde side doesn't get BoS. Good luck at getting shaman tranquil air just for yourself. You have to pretty great to manage mana on nonstop trash pulls. Even if you somehow don't oom in your dps gear, consider the mana to dps conversion of throwing a SWP vs renew on a warlock.

My opinion: raiding is not the time to have fun. It's hard to actually have fun in a raid, regardless of class. Do your job, and you get your phat dps loot to melt faces in PvP, now that's the fun part.

Aggroboy and perhaps to many other wow players outside may have bias perceptions against shadowpriest well i am here to answer a few questions. I've started WoWing approximately 14 months ago during the xmas/pre new year rush, but i wasnt constantly playin my toon due to sucky pc specs and i level myself from mid 50's to 60 last year nov. i respec from shadow to holy/disc to help out my new guild as they were startin to clear ZG and so. Later, i respec to shadow/disc when my guild was up to domo and we have quite a number of healers so no problem and everyone was cool with my decision. DKP wise wasnt really FFA, but i was shadow so i was able to bid on + DMG and Healing.

I feel that its not the matter of how many are going to spec into affinity and silent resolve. I feel that it's a responsibility and learnIIplaytheirclass honestly. IF ure a shadowpriest and considering to PvE this both talents are a must, again i stress the word must That's what i said in the previous post i believe leveling a toon to 60 is simple, but understanding and mastering the full potential of ur toon is hard.

Sadly, my shadowpriest is not on the horde side so i am not too sure about the BoS thingy on the horde side. But to be frank, most of the time i dont get the BoS buff, i always ask for kings and BoW with the -45% aggro talent imho its totally sufficient to control ur aggro, just watch ur DPS and also fade when necessary? Besides that as a shadowpriest PVE spec, u have to know ur roles u dont just DPS all the way, u also have a fole of decursing,VE healing, DPS and also not too mention emergency backup heals. If a priest is topping the damage meters u have to know somethin is not wrong.

DPS role: Shadow Priests CAN be number one in the damage charts, but a good SP almost NEVER will, because that means he has been A) focusing too much on upgrading his damage gear at the expense of his healing gear, B) being risky with agro, C) been neglecting his other duties of keeping up the tanks (even in full DPS mode you can still bubble if theres trouble), or D) some combination of the above. Shadow Priests have no unique DPS abilities persay, but their three damage spells are more than adequate. 1. SWP, the best DoT in the game. 2. Mind Blast, a high damage burst spell on an 8 second cooldown (though for most SPs this is reduced to somewhere between 5.5-6.5 seconds) that causes high agro (though for many SP builds, they have 45% aggro reduction. Add in the 30% from Blessing of Salvation, and aggro becomes almost negligible). 3. Mind Flay, arguably the most mana-efficient damage spell in the game, 3 second channeled no cooldown. Based on these 3 spells you can probably guess that your raids SP will focus on slapping down his DoT, and then blast away at a single target. Vampiric Embrace only strengthens this trend by giving the SP all the more reason to focus on a single target. At this, the SP is amazing, just dont expect him to bust out an AoE anytime for you, and dont expect his mana pool to last as long as a mages or warlocks despite MFs efficiency, as they just dont have the gear or talents to compete (not to mention the SP will most often be interspersing his damage with bubbles and/or heals) taken from the wow forums.

Again, its all about to learnIIplay and speaking from experience allthough during my 14 month play time ive never been up to nefarian or even pass broodlord only up to vael i've no problem with my mana raiding as a shadowpriest really. u have 40 ppl raiding if the 39 other members wipe because of one shadowpriest OOM and drinkin i think u shud /gquit imho. I 've around 6.2K + buff in MY DPS gear approximately +350 Damage and healing. Yes i do run out of Mana during the continious pull, so what i do is just be alert drink quickly asap durin the interval of each pull works fine for me.

My opinion: raiding is not the time to have fun. It's hard to actually have fun in a raid, regardless of class. Do your job, and you get your phat dps loot to melt faces in PvP, now that's the fun part.

Why do u raid if u're not having fun? Nevertheless as a healer or shadowpreist melting face in BWL i am still havin lots of fun, especially ure guild is in attempt of trying a new boss and remember the continious death and try finally u get to kill him and the phat loot? priceless.

and u guys can read this link for my details, for any more question about SP and concept ill try my best to answer tongue.gif

personally i'd go with rod of ogre magi and stick with it unless i get AB exalted, bloodfang or azuresong mageblade. already have bloodfang so threw away the rod. mages should go fo more damage instead of stats, excluding stamina....they need that a lot.

shadow priests run out of mana pretty fast, especially when PVPing. not every shadow priest gets the 45% aggro reduction. well i don't. so to compensate for that i only use mind flay when in instances or when farming with a group. i still grab aggro. but the mobs usually die before reaching me or i just fear it away. IMO SPs have the highest dps in the game. but their mana pool doesn't last long enough to be considered a proper dps class in raids.
i've done the Dukes in silithus once with just 3 people; 2 SPs and 1 mage. we didn't succeed but got it down to 10%. just played with aggro the whole fight. one of the reasons we died was because we aggroed 5 mobs with fears tongue.gif.......excluding the sheep wandering around.

Started in Feb 2005 with a friend. Got my first mount at lvl 55... was so happy...

Joined a small-sized guild of barely 10 people, we did combined MC raids with other guilds... cleared all the way and downed Majordomo before the combined raid split up...

Our guild swelled to 200, downed Onyxia and then Ragnaros...

Guild drama, some split off to make their own guild, losing nearly half our ranks and geared people. They too progressed fast on their own, but we recovered and continued farming Ragnaros... Our numbers grew back to 200 again...

Got my epic mount from AV... Found out I have now at least 20 epics on my main... I basically stopped PvE at this point due to work, but my guild went on.

Downed Razorgore after 3 weeks, downed Vael 2 weeks later...

Downed Broodlord in another 2, then the 3 drakes in the same week...

and yesterday, Chrommagus went dead...

Now I've completely quit the game, giving my account for a friend to play PvP with since his main is on a RP server with full tier 2 and bored of PvE. He has now made rank 10 with my char, and with his drive, might get rank 13 soon...

Lots of things happened while I was in WoW. Some fun memories, some pleasant, some made me laugh, some made me cringe and others made me wanna strangle people.

I should be missing this game a lot, but strangely... I don't feel much.

Fret not, you will be useful in End Game. It's the Rogues who have to worry about their usefulness. cry.gif

I started together with friends near Nov/Dec 2004...

Due to my work commitments (I'm in the design/advertising industry) I've off and on WoW.

But one of my friends has gone surpassed and done MC, BWL and now conquering AQ40 and the 4 outdoor green dragons.

Anyways, I'm on Spinebreaker (Alliance) with a few other fellow malaysians.

I must say, i'm the only one who truely finds the joy in healing and being the silent numbers that keep the raid together.

It's true i miss my shadow days. It's also true us priest melt faces one on one in a given scenario.

Then again, i always knew what the priest was meant for.

I envy you for being one of the remaining strong shadow priest/priestess around. Its a joy to have that fun doing dmg.

While i may never make a video of myself showing big heal numbers and countless victories over a duel or a horde encounter. I can only hope that your resolve will last till version X.XX for a full fledge video of your abilities in and out of the field.

Enough to keep people from yappering away from you being too shadowy, and not being what you are "suppose" to be.

I suppose we can't do justice with the heals and dmg all together. Phat loot blurs the faces of the men and woman who heal their way to conquest.

I would love to play on WoW but sadly TMNET is kind of screwing up our connectionn lately except for Autosurf which always looks like they have good latency. I live in the same area and always bad latency. And, the last thing I heard WoW is based on XML data streams not freakin' p2p.

I talked to one of the owners of autosurf that play WoW as well, seems like they have a special broadband connection the the US. Thats why their connection is always good. RM10k a month connection if i remember correctly.
