Guys, recently grabbed a cheap Intel I5-3570k from a friend working at Intel, gonna build a not so high end 2nd gaming rig with 2k budget w/o proc & monitor.

1. Gonna play on Dell U2312HM with mixture of high or ultra w/o AA/AF.

2. FPS games like BF3 / Black ops 2 and c/s BF4, Strategy games like SIMS and civilization 5.

3. Prefer Asrock mobo, case with nice dust filter feature.

Thx in advance guys.

I would like to pump more money in my graphic card (Coz in future may play other game that need better graphic card). The monitor is ok, and the budget for speaker should be around RM300 + normal keyboard + mouse. Any better recommendation?

If u wan more horse power on GPU, just upgrade the GPU to Zotac GTX760 AMP! , the 400+ rest to your gaming gears.

G.Skill 8gb 1600mhz value ram rm175

WD Caviar Blue 1tb rm200
Enermax NANX 550w rm215

Dell U2312HM rm535

Total rm3190

Buy your gaming gears with rm300 more. smile.gif

full HD.

the RAM seem's kinda weak. is it ok to use value ram?
*
No obvious performance increase if u switch to performance ram for gaming. If u opt for 1080p gaming, single GTX770 / 780 is kinda sufficient, switch to it save u roughly 1k. biggrin.gif

ahh ic.btw,is there any possible changes so that the gpu can be better?maybe reduce abit here and there.since its about gaming,i think the better the gpu the better the rig will be right?sorry im nub  cry.gif
*
Erm jumping up a level will required Sapphire Radeon 7970 Ghz Vapor-X or GTX770 which priced at rm1399, take your pick if u can sketch your budget.

Might as well settle with dual core i3 but balancing is the key point for rig suggested, cant go wrong with quad core + 760 in 1080p.

To make sure every components run well together. Balancing in building a rig can be the same concept as building a house, say you wont like to see a house built that is imbalance  laugh.gif .

Thanks Sir,

Last question, the graphic card that you suggest is sufficient enough for next 1-2 years ? because I’m willing to spend more to GC ,rather than change it sooner or later.
*
Depends on the resolution u were playing, 1080p is quite harsh for 7850, GTX760 would be sweet but will dig your wallet for extra rm200.

As for your 19 inch monitor, 7850 will probably max out almost everything. biggrin.gif

Ok,lets say if later on i change to any LED 22@23 inch, so what graphic card you suggest for smooth playing ?actually my budjet on GC is between RM500-RM700.

At the time being, rm799 GTX760 would be the best bang for buck for 1080p gaming.
