Hello need opinion for my planning on this build. I need help on reducing the cost but with none or a little less performance drop from the current specs: *mainly for gaming*,
CPU:Intel i5-4670K
MOBO: MSI Z87-G45
RAM: Kingston/Corsair Value RAM DDR3-1600Mhz (2x4GB)
Casing: Cooler Master USP100
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
HDD: WD 7200RPM 1TB
PSU: Seasonic S12 620W
Optical Drive: Generic DVD+RW
GPU:Zotac GTX770 AMP!
Notes+Question:
1)I have doubt if i really need K based processor. If not i might choose i5-4570.
2)I might stay with non-sli option so is there any cheaper MOBO but without bottlenecking GPU performance out there?
3)If i chose non K processor do i still need custom CPU Cooler such as the Hyper 212 EVO?
4)Is my PSU overkill?
5)Should i choose the AMP! version for the GPU?
Thank You.
1st of all, your setup is fine on the paper.
1. If u're not into overclocking, go for i5-4570 / i5-4670. But your CPU + mobo combination is actually very good.
2. Motherboard wont actually bottlenecked your GPU performance, as in (1), might as well settled with Asrock H87 Performance or B85 motherboard for cost cutting.
3. Stock cooler is sufficient but why not, as lower operating temperature on CPU are always welcomed. I believe Cooler Master Hyper 212 X are more ideal.
4. Nope, its fine as it is.
5. One of the fastest GTX770 out there and bonus 2+3 years warranty, most important, very reasonable pricing.
