Cpu : intel i3 3220
gpu : dont know yet..need help
Ram : 8gb
Hdd : 1tb
Psu : 600w
Mobo : also dont know...please recommend for me

please help me...is this good enough For gaming? Maybe i want to upgrade the cpu later..
my budged is under rm 1500
*
seriously you are asking too much for a max budget of RM1500. if you want those spec you will be left out with no CHASSIS and GPU.

and this below can run almost all games but not at all high setting. it should be good with your budget

CORE I3 4130 1150 3.40 3MB RM359
ASROCK H81M-DGS 1150 VSGL RM179
4GB PC1600 8 chips D3 RM110
SAPPHIRE 7770 1GB D5 128 RM349
500GB SATA 3 RM159
DVD-RW 24X SATA INT RM59
CM K281 ATX RM129
FSP HEXA 500W RM149

Total RM1493

EDIT: price taken from VIEWNET

guys,quick newbie question

AMD X8 FX 8350 8-cores vs Intel Xeon E1230 V3/V2,which one is better?for 3d rendering of-course.it said here i can get 4.0 ghz out of it with much cheaper price. and i know that you can get amd mobo for the same price as intel mobo.i need some advice from expert here.

need to cut down some budget here,to make way for extra power gpu:D
*
ive read it somewhere that FX 8350 can do a better job in your case somewhere but i cant find the source sweat.gif

Still im not totally sure about this, can someone reply this one? I also want to know as part of my knowledge icon_rolleyes.gif

Both are good for 3d rendering if we are looking at multi-thread case.
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/CPU/39
There's also some cases that FX8350 performs better when the software utilize the multi-core thread from AMD cpu, but I cant remember where's the benchmark results. You can change the bench setting on link above.
By considering i7 is slightly expensive and also offer slightly better performance, lower power consumption, etc. However, we have the option of Xeon E3 1230v2/v3 that offers similar performance as i7 3770/4770 at RM100 cheaper price.
*
If I understand you right,

between

AMD FX 8-Core Black Edition FX-8350 RM659
and
Core i7-4770 - RM990

its much valuable to take FX-8350 for rendering

and if compare between

FX-8350
and
Xeon E1230v3 - RM790

its still considerable to take Xeon is it?

Im considering in changing to AMD just for the sake of trying things out and from what I head its much easier to OC FX CPU rather than intel core.

oh yeah, never OC before and I think its time for me to take another step thumbup.gif

Both side are favorable depends on preference, but more likely taking the Intel path as for me im familiar to Intel more than amd.
At the meanwhile, AMD was staying AM3+ for quite some time and we didnt see much improvement on features. Instead they just add-in something like more sata/usb ports without really improve much on the mobo chipset.
Overclocking hard or easy on AMD i'm not sure, perhaps u need consult sifu from overclocking section.

thanks, will keep that in mind. icon_rolleyes.gif

H81 Mobo is compatible with i5 4440,

i don't think you can fit in hyper 212 with them tho.

Haha, saved RM600! Just a question, why xeon instead of i5/i7?
*
Core i7 3770 - RM945
Xeon E1230v3 - RM790

*XEON dont have any IGP, so you need dedicated GPU at all time to connect to monitor laugh.gif
and its not meant for overclocking

check out the score:

QUOTE(Xypheria @ Nov 14 2013, 07:18 PM)
I have a question over here..

I wanted to buy PS4 but since the price is a no-no, I've decided to improve my pc instead haha

This is my current set up
i) CPU : Intel core i5 2300
ii) Mobo : p67A-UD3
iii) GC : HD5770

Probably I want to change my gc to GTX760 to play games like AC4, D3 or even Watch Dogs in the future.

My budget is around 1.6 or less..

Any ideas guys?
*
imo, your cpu can still keep up with current games.
with 1.6k

you can get:
GIGABYTE R9 290 4GB D5 512 RM1449
(IF you already using a good PSU)

or

MSI R9 280X oc 3GB D5 384 1149
and
SF Golden Green HX600W Gold 80+ Modular - RM299
Total-RM1448

or

MSSI GTX770 oc 2GB D5 256 RM1299
SF Golden Green HX600W Gold 80+ Modular - RM299
TOTAL - RM1598

Opps I forgot to put my PSU haha. I am using 500W for now

Hmm GTX770 looks good tho..
and I need to change my PSU in order to get 770 right?
*
what 500W PSU you're using currently? laugh.gif

I think its safe to change since you got the budget anyway:lol:

without K also can overclock ?
*
iinm can be done only a simple and slight OC, but not as much as 'k' variant.

but looking at the 'expensive' board you choose, hence the question of do you do OC? laugh.gif

standard normal mobo still can run the i7 without bottlenecking it.

EDIT: and the cpu cooler, or its just the sake of an eye candy? brows.gif

normal stock cooler will do the job laugh.gif
