basically AMD GPU are cheaper at the same par of performance within the same tier of Nvidia

can't really say bout it because from time to time both of the AMD and Nvidia regularly updates their driver to keep with up to date requirement.

as for the fan, keep the air flow balance is enough, intake = outtake, don't get too much intake or later your interior will get dusty faster.
