QUOTE(arbelnox @ Sep 13 2013, 11:06 AM)
Sadly that's usually the case in Malaysia. Only KL gets all the good deals. That's what happened back in 920 with monster headsets freebies or wireless charger... can't remember.. while us just can only head banging the wall for couldn't be there.
*
Yeah, I remembered correctly now.
I sincerely hope Nokia Malaysia (Marketing Dept) have an in dept look into this unfair treatment. Where is the 1Malaysia Spirit?

mwtang, would you be kind enough to raise this issue with Nokia Malaysia?

U guys will definately be disappointed . There are still days till the launch . Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel . Trust me the team is fighting hard to get a good price
*
Understood.
Thanks for your response.

Do raise with them that, try to provide a wider and fairer treatment to all Malaysia Nokia-lovers, shall Nokia Malaysia decided to give freebies as part of Product Launching

I was there at Product Launching. I do not remember they offer Pendrive as Freebies.

Hmmm ... if I remember correctly, when L920 and L820 launched, the units weren't immediately available, hence no bundles. Then handsets were only available weeks after that and I was the first to queue in Gardens Nokia and purchased 2 units. They gave me 2 pendrives (one broken btw) and two umbrellas.
*
I will be heading to KL later tonight.
My sister ask me to help her get the L925 with current 16% Discount.

Hence, I am thinking to get it at The Curve Nokia Store.
The nearest Nokia Store I could reach, as I will be around IKANO in afternoon.

Do you or others happen to know whether there is Card Surcharge during Purchase?

There won't be a surcharge. In fact, surcharging is illegal  brows.gif

Good to hear that.
I would feel awkward to charge Customer with Card surcharge, shall Nokia Official Store practiced this.

Really illegal kah?

Thanks.

I think I won't put all my hearts with Storekini. But I could be very wrong on this.
This is because when I was comparing with latest Storekini Pre-Order, Storekini offer Pre-Order Lumia 925 with only RM50 discount from RRP. While Superbuy.my started to sell its first Lumia 925, it already discounted about RM100 off.

Still, this Pre-Order is exlusive with Nokia Malaysia, and the blink.gif mystery gift.
I seriously hope the gift is not Umbrella, Pendrive, Mug or T-Shirt. Lol

Hehe. Thanks for the Mooncake Greeting as well as Lumia 1020.

QUOTE(mwtang @ Sep 19 2013, 09:50 AM)
It's only fair if u compare apple to apple . If the 1020 focus on the camera , why not match it with another phone release that equals the task.

We all do know the rant is more in the platform itself . To be fair iOS and android platforms are leading the pack .

At the end of the day , it's your money and you choose which phones that's gives u the ultimatum gratification and not what you would prefer to be seen with

Just my 2 cents worth
*
Well said.
I love the last sentence 'not what you would prefer to be seen with'.

mwtang, Please post the pricing once known.
Thanks you,

Which Nokia Store?
I was told by Nokia Store The Curve that they are not holding any L920 because L920 is being replaced with L925. I was like 'huh?' in my head.

Check out Pyramid or Gardens. I was there last week, still some units available. The display price is RM1,549 but that comes with a free wireless charging plate which would cost you RM260 if bought separately. If you don't want the plate, you may grab a 920 for RM1,399.
*
Ah, I prefer with Free Wireless Charging Plate. Superbuy @RM1,419.

How I wish L920 have Matt Color like L1020. Lol

Does superbuy unit come with wireless charging plate? Not familiar with superbuy   shocking.gif

According to their Customer Service, Yes but Limited Stock.
Just like what Nokia Store stated.

If you intend to buy, please confirm with their Customer Service first.

I wonder whether there is other Mystery Gift, beside the announced RM2,499 with Free Grip?

Rm 2.5k is seriously overpriced mang. And when no one buy their phone, Microsoft will come out with stupid ideas like reducing the price and offering educational pricing (like they did with the surface RT),  and yes they are playing with their loyal customer. Can't see who will buy this phone, knowing that Microsoft will revise the price drastically in another 1-2 months
*
You could be right.
Again, like some one said a never-ending loop of waiting for phone price to drop further as new model will be released.

Nevertheless, I agreed that the L1020 is seriously priced steeply but I feel Nokia Malaysia strategies Lumia 1020 as Niche Product, also no competitor can compete with its Phone Camera capability. So far.

I wouldn't advice comparing with Note3 or iPhone.
Their main features are different.
Note 3 is better compete with 1520.

I am still undecided to purchase or not.
Will see how as other retailers such as Superbuy get hold of L1020.

Yeah, complaining that the price is too high is a never ending cycle, but I just can't help but think that they could have dropped it a few hundred by not included the camera grip.
*
Me too.

I just realised the Storekini Pre-Order kinda awkward if you look the other way.

The Free Grip already comes with built in Power Bank.
Yet, the Pre-Order Bundle gave away another Sanyo Power Bank.
Correct me if I am wrong.

EDIT: My bad. The Built-In Power Bank is only 1,020 mAH.
Probably, could only provide half-charged of Lumia 1020.
