Sadly that's usually the case in Malaysia. Only KL gets all the good deals. That's what happened back in 920 with monster headsets freebies or wireless charger... can't remember.. while us just can only head banging the wall for couldn't be there.

U guys will definately be disappointed . There are still days till the launch . Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel . Trust me the team is fighting hard to get a good price

I was there at Product Launching. I do not remember they offer Pendrive as Freebies.

so far only Storekini.com knows the actual price and the mysterious gift, top it up they are exclusive too and you get the phone at first hand.

All other retailers won't get it, even Nokia store, only you get it first, kind of like a VIP service and you can't expect the price to be just RM2.3k

Selling higher price is not bringing Nokia (or Microsoft) back into the game.

Anyway, the point here is, the more people willing to pay higher price, the price will be higher.
Just imagine if someone is doing a survey to see how many people willing to pay RM2399 or higher. If their survey found that there is enough people 'willing' to fork out so much, why should they lower the price?
Think for a moment.

Besides, the price could very much likely drop more if it's priced higher, so those early adopters may suffer the bigger loss and hurt when the price drops. Is it worth so much?

I would say the RM2k+ would be a bundle, bundle with what? The grip of course! Few months later they will discard the bundle and introduces the "standalone" version, which is going to be, say... RM1.7k?

The grip will cost a lot and you'd probably think "I should've bought it earlier".

So, they better put this badass grip into the bundle. 

Just saying. If they can price it at RM1899, but many people said they willing to pay RM2399. Just imagine, should they price it RM1899? 

Anyway, eventually it will drop price, just how much. My point here is, why see people spend so much then after a short while, the price drops a lot? 

Of course, you can disagree with me. I'm just sharing my point of view, if people are doing survey how much they want to price "something", should the customer said, I willing to pay MORE or hope they can price it "competitively" and also more "reasonable", it's not really high end on the specs, the camera is the main thing, but the Nokia 808 PureView is only selling at RM1899.

Everyone has their own "price" they willing to pay, some may EVEN willing to pay RM2500, but why not cheaper if can? Or you prefer them to price it higher? Remember, the people doing survey to price the product is the key point here.
After the price is announced, it's up to each person decision how much they ACTUALLY willing to pay.
Some people may say, I willing to buy if the price is RM2299, but when actual launch, the person may not willing to pay for it and wait for price drop.
You may also notice, some say RM2299, then some say RM2199. Technically, it's RM100 difference. If really RM2299, will the person who said RM2199 won't buy? Or let's say, RM2099, the person target RM2K or below, so RM2099, will buy or not?

The price already rumored to be RM2XXX, so, how much they willing to price it, the people in forums/online may have "affect" on their decision how they are going to price it. Do you want them to price it higher or lower? It's up to you.

I was told by Nokia Store The Curve that they are not holding any L920 because L920 is being replaced with L925. I was like 'huh?' in my head.
