Hey sifu-sifu, my S3 is having a problem. It is like randomly restart and it is getting more and more frequent. Starting I thought is the software problem so I flash the custom ROM again. (Omega ROM)

However, my phone still restart after that. Thus, I think it should be some technical/hardware problem. I manage to flash into the stock ROM so that I can send it to claim the Samsung warranty. But when I tried to flash the stock ROM in Odin3, the process of:

c. Connect your phone via usb and the first box at the top under ID:COM should turn blue and have some text in it. If you are using Download Mode on your phone for the first time then you will notice drivers being installed to use it.

was failed. Because when I connected the phone the box wasn't turn blue.

Is anyone of you facing the same restart problem? And anyone know what's the problem that caused the box not turning into blue?

hopefully i can wait patiently for 1 to 2 months..if not, i will download it manually and flash through odin, still wont void warranty
*
Download other country ROM? For sure warranty will void sweat.gif . If available for M'sia if you don't want to wait for OTA you can always use kies to flash. blush.gif

I ran Antutu 3.3 on stock S3 just after factory reset.  Results 12k.  Ran on fresh ARHD 26.0, results 10k.  Ran again after install some stuff, 8k.  This morning ran again, 15k.  Hmmm.

Hahaha! biggrin.gif I have the same situation and like I said, you phone may slow because of some backend apps is dancing behind... nod.gif Once they stop dancing your phone will back to normal speed.

Based on my experience some Custom ROM will not speed up your phone but they will make you feel smooth cutting some of the steps, with steps cutting may need more power to perform.

Hahaha! is a chicken and egg thingy... laugh.gif
