Wondering if any of you guys ever experienced "Android is Updating" on every reboot ?
Although it does nothing, but it's kinda annoying. I'd tried a few methods based on XDA forums but I just can't seem to find the cause of it. They suspected the .odex file(s) in data/app was the culprit, but I don't have any there, only .apk files. |

Guys, just woke up to find my phone with a black screen and blueish notification light!
The tried pulling out the battery to restart the phone, but it keeps looping back to the samsung logo. What does that mean? |

QUOTE(omega10 @ Jun 9 2013, 07:50 AM) Motherboard problem. I'm having same problem and sent the phone to Samsung Service Centre and request a change of motherboard. Ouch! That sucks! But did you try clearing dalvik cache, or wiping data at your recovery? This post has been edited by dark_axl21: Jun 9 2013, 08:55 AM |

QUOTE(omega10 @ Jun 9 2013, 09:08 AM) The phone was stuck there and if your set is an authorised set, you should ask them to replace the motherboard before warranty expires. I lost all data in phone. The service centre staff told me Samsung will replace the motherboard of S3 before warranty expires upon request as some motherboard of S3 is defective. We do not want the problem to occur just after warranty expires as the cost of replacing the motherboard is expensive. I see, thanks for the info! Will try to get it done once I get back! |

Aren't SDS cases supposedly fixed by updating it to 4.1.2?

QUOTE(neato4u @ Jun 18 2013, 09:06 PM) I just checked XDA and I got the affected chip I also read that you need both the stock recovery and kernel installed for it to work properly, or a custom kernel and recovery built from the updated sources. Latest Perseus Kernel and PhilZ Recovery are examplesGonna read more how to fix this.. edit: Ok I'm safe for now as I have 4.1.2 stock "Stock: All 4.1.2 official releases (stock) include a Kernel, bootloader and recovery with the Update 7 "Fixes" (or newer) applied. If you have 4.1.2, officially consider yourself "Safe". So it is possible to "patch" the problem? |
