but even if i flash back to stock rom. Can i still extract some data from the CWM backup? Cuz i was sure i did the backup there

in my opinion, benchmarks don't mean anything.

The galaxy S4 can score super high in benchmarks, but the overall smoothness and fluidity of the OS is not as smooth as other phones (xperia Z, Htc One).

It's really a matter of whether or not the performance is optimised for the phone or not.

Plus, in my experience when our phones first came with 4.0.4, the benchmark scores were higher (I got about 6.9k in Quadrant back then).

Then when 4.1 came out, the benchmark scores were lower (Quadrant gave me 6.2k with Jelly Bean) but I felt that the performance of the OS was significantly smoother. Apps loaded faster and homescreen felt smoother. Probably due to Project Butter and perhaps some optimisation too

i cannot count how many times i have flashed my phone, but every time before flashing new rom, i will backup data using free app which is super backup (backup apps without data, contacts, sms, call logs, calenders, and bookmarks) and titanium backup.

titanium backup, i used to backup everything. including things that i have backup using super backup. i have no reason for doing that. maybe its for safety i guess.

after flash new rom, only download titanium from playstore, after that, restore all or things that i wanted only. usually only takes up to 30 minutes to complete flashing new rom and also to restoring data and apps.

before I want to flash any custom ROM, I charge my phone + make backup using titanium
after flash then restore it ....
and also used around half hour

yeah, battery level also the important thing that need to be considered. i remember one time i flash when battery level 16%. after finish, battery still have 13%

can. if only you got notification, such as whatsapp, you can reply it while restoring data. only work if whatsapp is installed early. 

when I restoring apps + data I just let it slowly restore
don't do anything on the phone
because the phone 100% is hot

When i try to recover my contacts by syncing with goggle again. It's not there! Dont know wat went wrong. Now i only have the contacts frm my whatsapp that i backup using titanium
