when i connect by PTP, with USB debugg ON, my pc will recognise. when USB Debug Off, nothing happen also.

i always leave debug on. Lazy to turn off. Mine can detect without any issue. Sometimes, you need to install driver. Go and use Nexus Root Toolkit to install correct driver

So far, is there any manufacturing defects found?

I'm planning to get one & worried about the 1st batch devices.

Its sad that Google screw up the 2nd gen Nexus7 again. I thought they have learn from 1st gen problems. Imagine the sales volume would have been high if they have clean up their act. Many are holding back their purchases including me. Lets hope all issues will be fix soon. smile.gif

Not me and I have no problem using the tablet. It's too good to hold, to use, to see and to hear. Don't let the complaints hold you back, you won't regret it trust me.

And google didn't screw up the nexus but in fact they have created a one hell of a device.

Their sales were great. Most outlets in the us have sold out their units as soon as they went on sale.

Typing this comment on the nexus 7 :-)

Typical potential buyer behaviour
They react strongly to any negative reports
Such negative reports never bother me but infact will spur me to buy it to verify it myself
So far I have bought so many phones/tablets n seriously yet to have a defective unit
You will see more negative postings rather than positive positings - is typical human behaviour.quick to criticize but slow or never to praise

After playing it for one day... Dead pixels occur. Sigh. Was so happy that there was no issue with multi touch or speakers. sad.gif

So I can't access my thumb drive content with the stock firmware? Damn it! Hmmm. May I ask why can't I do so? Cause now I'm using a Sony Xperia Z Ultra and I used to own a few Samsung smartphones before and they all can be used to access my thumb drive content through OTG. Why can't this do so with the stock firmware bro?
