Hi guys...need some help here!
I have sell my condo and signed the snp (Selling price RM480k). Now the lawyer charge me RM5720.60 which I am not sure why so expensive (RM5720.60). I am the seller, by right it should be around RM2k++. I think they are trying their luck to charge me higher. Can you guys advice?
1. Deed of receipt and reassignment (RM480.00)
- Stamp duty on original and 4 copies thereof RM50.00
- Registration fee at kuala lumpur high court RM30.00
- fee for preparation RM400.00
2. Sale and purchase agreement (RM4010.00)
- Legal fees RM3810.00
- Telephone, fax, courier & transport charges RM200.00
3. Statutory declaration (RM50.00)
- Affirmation fee and stamp duty
4. Filing CKHT 1A & 3 (RM330.00)
- Fee far preparation RM300.00
- Photocopy charges RM30.00
5. Deed of Assignment of Tenancy (RM500.00)
- Fee far pre preparation RM500.00
Miscellaneous disbursements (RM50.00)
Government service Tax - 6% (RM300.60)
Looks like it. Did you hire your own? That might be the reason.
In my case, I used the buyer's lawyer. They charged me RM1,092.00. I asked for discount and they lowered it to RM1k flat. The studio selling price was RM370,000.00
