yea.... partly is attending wedding dinner with gf lol

thinking of adding 1 niche botol for Christmas under my 500 budget... currently have coromandel / cuir de russie / acqua di parma intensa oud in my mind

How much is MFK absolute pour le soir and amyris?
*
Amyris is about RM465 but you should get the Aqua Universalis Forte as iis on promotion for RM500. Retail price is RM685.

Oh the detergent is quite a good deal as well. 1L at RM140, a lot more cheaper than my current Aesop at RM 165 for 500ml.

Legend (100ml) is RM160 and Le Male (125ml) is RM190 on fragrancex.com. Le Male is famous for its nuclear projection. I wouldn't recommend you use it for office setting but if you love it so much I guess you could do one spray undershirt. I had a bottle before but sold it. I never dared to wear it to office.

Me too, is against any perfume with strong projection for office usage. I have a colleague who loves to use this type of perfume to work. Darn we all hate the smell so much!

I wore LIDGE to office.

The hiao secretary commented in a hiao tone "Wei, why your perfume is stronger than mine one? Why? Why wear so strong perfume?"

i just sat  at the corner of the car and said "not mine.."

hahahahahahaha

SOTD - Acqua Di Parma Colonia Intensa Oud

Man, it is a stunning beauty... got it at Parkson Pavilion with my RM100 voucher discount... did alot of comparison with Royal Oud and other fresh oud scent available... MFK Oud is a masterpiece for sure.. RM880, way out budget...

Bond no 9 New York Oud i get plenty of rose opening and oud come out later, quite nice actually and smooth, not as synthetic like some reviewers said in Basenotes. however RM1099 for a 100ml retail bottle is crazy...

Silver factory really smell like Amouage Epic man... which surprises me... Chinatown's peach blossom opening is way over my feminine tolerance level... And New Haarlem is basically MJ's Legend on steriod... it is way smoother, way stronger, way longer lasting.. not really tat sweet compare to pure malt... the maple syrup make it syrupy sweet.. very nice gourmand scent indeed..

Ok, back to ADP oud, how is it like? Overall it is a citrus oud combo frag... not as velvety smooth as MFK's but it put Royal Oud to shame... It is EDC concentre... and it projects and lasts for 1 whole day on me with just 2 sprays lol

The opening is the trademark citrus from ADP, it does resemble colonia intensa opening of fresh burst of citrus... then slowly let the woody oud to come out... it does smell medicinal for a while and very woody.. lil bit of middle east vibe but the citrus undertone keep it away from being Amouage vibe...

It is similar to Royal Oud which also from citrus drydown to woody oud.. but ADP is less sweeter and the oud is lightweight but really blend well with the leather to make it is so power, masculine and serious scent...  most importantly smell very expensive...

do bear in mind this is an edc concentre... but performance put alot edp to shame... and another thing the bottle presentation - second to by Kilian

Nice haul there. I always pass by Acqua di Parrma counter but never have the chance to sample some of its creation.

I was at Parkson too yesterday with vouchers worth RM350 in my hand but getting these instead:

I read somewhere that most perfumers are men as men are able to smell, differentiate and segmentize more notes than women.

I could be wrong.

I personally think that the definition will and has evolved. In cave man era, you gotta whack a cave woman and drag her back to your cave to copulate if you are a real cave man.

Nowadays a real man not only must know how to earn moolah but also must be able to cook, take care of the house and be the nanny.

Your preference in perfume usually changes with your experience in perfume as well as the way you think. At least it is for me and most other people in basenotes.

Occasionally i will wear my wife's perfume just for the sake of experiment and more often than not it turned out to be quite good.
