At the MFK's meet-and-greet event now......

It was like a small gathering of MFK's friends, business partners and clients, to celebrate the opening of first MFK's boutique in Asia. Free flow of champagne. Zaid Ibrahim was there as well.


We then proceeded to level one for photo ops with Francis Kurkdjian before entering the function room where 3-course dinner will be served.

Antoine Bakhache, the MD of Bakhache Luxuries was addressing the welcome remarks.


Francis Kurkdjian was sharing with the guests of his inspiration in the making of his new creation - Aqua Vitae.


A rather generous door gift for all the guests.

Well I purchase MFK just because I like its creations; I didn't expect the perfumer to visit Malaysia. No one did.

The main contribution could be due to the relationship building. I reckon that it is always essential to develop a professional relationship with the SAs as nobody in the HQ will know who are their clients except the SAs - they are always the eyes and ears to the HQ.

Whenever possible I will just drop by their counters, sample some scents and create a small talk. Most of the time they are just bored and will be more than willing to serve and talk to you. However don't be a cheapskate by asking free samples from them unless they already know you. I was given this exclusive gift recently. It is a collab between Aesop and Higashiya.



Of course they are those snobbish SAs but if found, just smile and walk away politely.

SOTD - Opus IV by Amouage.

One word: choking.

I had two sprays on me, like how normally i would apply fragrance. It was overdosed. With try on single spray and see how it goes.

Oh no. Why selling it off. It is a masterpiece. Still.

Opus sample is very hard to come by i was informed. I got mine when i was in Barcelona this year.

SOTD - mixture of Clamentin, Colodium and charcoal.

Well, basically I am sick today - diarrhea, sore throat and fever. Sucks!
