yes the auto headlights are cool the first few months u own it.

after you realize all your lights/radio etc are always switched on when the engine is off (after you lock/unlock etc) and drain your battery in a year you will put 0 in the day and auto night

and yes same goes to the wiper.

I bring my R to exquisitte marques few months after I bought it. Vw service center turn me down

haha thats my fav workshop for maintenance/mods. i wont say they are cheap but cheaper than sc. but service is better. walk in, straight get anything u want fixed/service, no appointment needed. porsche/lambo/ferrari wont send their car there for nothing. many Golf R owners are there

now i know what is wheel hop.

Mk7 GTI 3 door has very poor specs, lower than gti mk5 specs hmm..

3 door = 209K
5 door = 218K
5 door tech pack = 228K

the performance pack with 230PS, better brakes and LSD are not available yet.

will be going for a test drive with VCM this weekend.

Test drove the Mk7 Gti today, will test drive again tomorrow lol

engine sound is different, Mk6 Gti is better i think
less thick steering wheel compared to mk6 gti
power is more low down due to the 350Nm torque
very confident handling, and this is without DCC and the diff from PPack(coming soon)

discount for RM5k to upgrade to tech pack and RM1.5K top up for 19" santiago rims

The acceleration is very impressive. It took a while to overtake Japanese NA car before the remap. Now can easily smoke them after the remap. The power after 160km/h is totally different before and after the remap. I think it will be even more perfect with DSG remap as the stock DSG software has limited the shifting point a little. According to the tuner, as you not going reach 310 torque always, so the the gearbox is more than enough to handle. Due to the high torque, i notice even at 160 km/h, the RPM only 2.8K.

yup stock DSG map with mapped engine will always give rather poor shifting points. shifts are just too early

On wheel for sure will be lower. According to them should be around 170-180PS as i have upgrade my wheels to 18 inch. Will go dyno when free. Usually how long a dyno session and how much it cost?
Yea MK7 using DQ200 too, according to VW it able to handle up to 250 torque, in actually it can up to 350 according to various sources.

Like the 3 Door PGTI, before i buying this golf, was considering it but in the end choose Golf for bigger space lol.
*
yup go vision to dyno to see the on wheel figures. usually the claimed numbers are on engine and i dont really trust it
best is to go dyno before and after so that you can see your actual gains
not sure how much mk7 tsi are producing at the wheels
stock mk6 tsi are about 150whp and 230nm. very close to on engine numbers already (160PS 240Nm)

hi w0n.
