Not that uncommon - happened to me before. Chopped the service booklet but forgot to reset the MFD to the next service interval reminder! Wing Hin VW Balakong if you must know.

Everyone says that Balakong is good so everyone goes there. At the end, it becomes too crowded as they cannot keep up with the constant high volume. Then ppl complain that their service is bad.

VW dy made a lot of improvement like TSC, 4S dealership and all the new car models performance are highly improved.
Also, i think that DSG7 have no more issue since i hardly heard ppl complain about it now.
It's a nice car and you like it.. For me, i'll feel regretful if i dint purchase the things i like
Think about it..

Thank you for your feedback, i'll definitely will think about it, the current promotion will end on 31st july, guess i hv plenty of time to think about it. smile.gif

I am also in the mist of pulling the trigger of getting a used 2013 Passat or a new Jetta Sport Edition but Worry about the after sales service and DSG.

Any VW owner care to elaborate their experience ? I am based in penang.

Hope to hear all the VW sharing of experience. Thank you

Happen to me too....

So best bet to ensure that ur ride is under warranty/ serviced as per booklet is to make sure the SC stamped & signed ur service booklet.

i am not sure if the rumour i heard is true or not. My friend say that there is an extended warranty from VW for 3years after the 5year warrant eand with additional rm2k+. Havent check with VW centre yet but interested to know if the deal is available weather it is worth to take it or not (need to understand the T&C actually).

Yeah, much hassle you could get yourself into if the service booklet is lost/misplaced. Heard of other people's nightmare before.

Sykang, thanks for the feedback. Now this had inject more confident for me to go ahead. =)
Had another question need to consult you.

How about the 5 years warranty ? I read somewhere that it is just 2 years manufacturer warranty and the last 3 years warranty is actually from 3rd part/ insurance company so when do claim it need to wait the insurer come and verify the defect and will take longer time to approve the claim . Is it true ar ?

Thank you

Now no need to wait for insurer unless very major claim.
Last week I claimed my aircond fan, they replace it on the spot when they found fault code after plug in computer.
