wa if only for customer, if he get 50 customer for m100, mostly only like 20% customer interested with custom plates

later the machine and equipment also wont cover half the cost lol

if for every customer, still gooding! I am interested but I prefer buying from Jaben because they have a specific shop and more likely I could see almost all their headphones and test them out!

Frankly, the customisations was never a part of our business. It is being out sourced to third parties. Therefore, it is just part of customer service and not product offering sweat.gif

Not at all biggrin.gif It is just misunderstanding tongue.gif Had never been stuck up but guess perception counts sweat.gif

Had always sell on knowledge and service. See ourselves as professionals in the trade and not hawkers at pasar malam. You don't go to see a doctor and bargain over his fess or do you hmm.gif

It takes much more than just offering the lowest price to be recognised by manufacturers as their official representative. You can find us listed at ALO, FiiO, iFi official sites as their reseller.

By the way, do see Jaben as healthy competition nod.gif Professional and good for the trade nod.gif

would be nice if you guys offer amazing prices as the merchants in overseas, e.g- Sennheiser Momentums for RM800, W4R for RM1000, V-Moda M80 for RM450, etc =)
Unfortunately East Malaysia is known for stinging on prices ;(

If you do understand the economics of business, you will understand why there is such a wide discrepancy.

Basically, USA is still the biggest consumer of electronics in the world with Amazon the biggest retailer of electronics in the world. With the large volume in hand, they get priority on getting new models, much better discount and volume shipping rates.

The costing difference between an USA distributor's and Malaysia distributor's costing may vary up to 40%. On top of it, for Malaysia, headphones attracts 5% duty and 10% sales tax, amplifier 15% duty and 10% sales tax, cables 40% duty and 10% sales tax.

However, a lot of the time, end users here then to compare the pricing ex-USA rather than landed price.

For example, Westone 4R is being listed at USD325 = RM1058.82. This is based on inter-bank rates and not what the credit card will charge you. By the time it reflects on your bill, it will show RM1114.55 instead. Typically, courier charges is around USD50 = RM171.42 (RM162.85 inter-bank). That works out to RM1285.97 before duty and tax. After duty and tax, it will be RM1504.06. Should there be RMA, courier to and fro works out to be RM342.84 doh.gif

Both Jaben and us are offering the Westone 4R at RM1800+ sweat.gif

The choice is yours nod.gif

I wasn't only talking about Amazon, even normal retailers/chains which doesn't specialize in head fi and having low volumes has even lower prices than Amazon. Not counting Malaysia, Singapore duty/taxes is also lower than Malaysia yet still charge the same if not higher price. Btw, i thought if you have a business license you get exempted from some of the duties?

Don't remind of the cables tax, I remember my ALO Audio Reference 16 cable got taxed heavily but not as high as 40% and the tariff got reclassified different from what ALO described in the commercial invoice for god knows what reason

As mentioned, it is the volume discount at the distributor level that makes the real big difference.

Huh blink.gif Exempt duty blink.gif Unless you are a crony to XXXX tongue.gif , otherwise no way shakehead.gif

For the case of Singapore, you will have to factor in the cost of business. It is now the fifth most expensive city in the world to live in. Well ahead of all the cities in the USA. In fact, it is more expensive to buy the Shure SE215/SPE in Singapore than Malaysia.

No point arguing as a small distribution company will always seeks ways to maximize their profit. Even though they get dealers price and declare lower price during transit. They will tell u that due to the terms and condition with the dealer they have to sell at a standard Srp. Everyone lies... Take sellers and distro words with a mountain of salt.

If u work in some trading company u will come across such stuff but u can never question them even though u know it is wrong. They are getting some item for free but they are selling it at retail price(free as in sample and i will not explain in detail) . Haha this is the world we live in. Some may concur but once I find a seller with such integrity or something alike... Best to avoid. Not going to delve further as i can't promise that one day I won't be like them.

better to support small sellers who do sales in a personal matter, than a corporate or company which always has hidden agendas

but then it's up to how well do a person evaluate the seller and their integrity

Should I go for ATH M50 or Logitech UE6000?

Main concern is noise isolation / noise cancelling only.

Both fits my budget well. So can any sifu advice me?

Thanks.

I used to opt for the ue6000, but very fragile at head, when I move a bit the headphone feel like it was gonna drop, sound and isolation was very good though

Because of that, i went for m100 by v moda because they clamp on your head more tighter and secure
