Hi all Gurus,

I am looking for overhead earphone, narrowing down to 2 models which are Audio Technica AD700 and Goldring DR 150. Below are my current usage model, would like to know which one is the better choice. thumbup.gif

- Your rig (PC with Xfi Sound card, sometimes on Lumia 920)
- What type of usage (Gaming 60%, Movie 20%, music 20%)
- File format used in your source (MP3)
- Genre of music you listen to (classical, soft, gentle type)
- Headphone/ earphone type (open)
- Other requirements (Must be comfortable as i have big ears.)

*For Goldring DR150, not sure if i can have the setup as below:
PC -> Original cable -> hippo cricri+ -> vero 150 -> DR150
I need the long cable (3m) as my PC is quite far from the earphone, while Vero 150 is not long enough.

should be

PC -> your typical USB cable -> hippoc cricri+ -> DrVero 150 (DR 150 + vero = DrVero 150)
in this way you can use the dac together with amp

i would recommend AD700 anytime, DrVero 150 is just plain undesirable IMO, and i had one, couldn't sell it off till now, I was the early adopter batch

hmm...How do i output sound to USB? hmm.gif
As far as i understand Creative SC only output to 3.5mm jack.... sweat.gif

Well.... The AD700 design definitely pawns Goldring DR150... laugh.gif

deep low bass, not many can achieve that, of all that i had, only custom one pro, my custom iem and dt770 can reach it, others just cant hit the notes

AD is open back series, so bass id certainly weaker than closed can

Try Hippo Pearl, or maybe some entry level Audio Technica, such as CLR100

I guess you are referring the urBeats that is selling on Lazada. Well, i did bought them as i need an in ear that has 3 button in line mic that works with HTC. For me, if you like those earphone, you can simply get it, as sound quality sometime is quite dependent on our personal taste.  smile.gif

Yes i am referring to that one. Cause is so cheap.
I admit that beats is the lowest qualiy among all branded earphone. Considering that price tag I dont think any other earphone can on par with it. Is the price i'm attracted to.
