Hi all Gurus,

I am looking for overhead earphone, narrowing down to 2 models which are Audio Technica AD700 and Goldring DR 150. Below are my current usage model, would like to know which one is the better choice.

- Your rig (PC with Xfi Sound card, sometimes on Lumia 920)
- What type of usage (Gaming 60%, Movie 20%, music 20%)
- File format used in your source (MP3)
- Genre of music you listen to (classical, soft, gentle type)
- Headphone/ earphone type (open)
- Other requirements (Must be comfortable as i have big ears.)


*For Goldring DR150, not sure if i can have the setup as below:
PC -> Original cable -> hippo cricri+ -> vero 150 -> DR150
I need the long cable (3m) as my PC is quite far from the earphone, while Vero 150 is not long enough.

hmm...How do i output sound to USB?
As far as i understand Creative SC only output to 3.5mm jack....


Well.... The AD700 design definitely pawns Goldring DR150...

I see...So basically my Creative sound card will be useless this way...

In term of Sound quality, how are the AD700 vs DrVero 150? Sorry i am noob in audiophile...

But seems like many people complain about low bass of AD series, havent got chance to test one though...

i chose AD700 at the end since not a fans of rock/bass music

How big is your head size? I used to have this problem due to big ears and wear spec. And then i found Audio Technica AD series..
Provided that you have big head else the headphone will drop , the so call "3D" wing design will not press your ear towards the spec
