Hi all Gurus,

I am looking for overhead earphone, narrowing down to 2 models which are Audio Technica AD700 and Goldring DR 150. Below are my current usage model, would like to know which one is the better choice. thumbup.gif

- Your rig (PC with Xfi Sound card, sometimes on Lumia 920)
- What type of usage (Gaming 60%, Movie 20%, music 20%)
- File format used in your source (MP3)
- Genre of music you listen to (classical, soft, gentle type)
- Headphone/ earphone type (open)
- Other requirements (Must be comfortable as i have big ears.)

*For Goldring DR150, not sure if i can have the setup as below:
PC -> Original cable -> hippo cricri+ -> vero 150 -> DR150
I need the long cable (3m) as my PC is quite far from the earphone, while Vero 150 is not long enough.

should be

PC -> your typical USB cable -> hippoc cricri+ -> DrVero 150 (DR 150 + vero = DrVero 150)
in this way you can use the dac together with amp

hmm...How do i output sound to USB? hmm.gif
As far as i understand Creative SC only output to 3.5mm jack.... sweat.gif

Well.... The AD700 design definitely pawns Goldring DR150... laugh.gif

erm you plug the usb to pc and the other end to the cricri+

unless you are saying cricri withoout the plus symbol

throw away that creative SC garbage, it's not up to par and overpriced

I see...So basically my Creative sound card will be useless this way... sweat.gif

In term of Sound quality, how are the AD700 vs DrVero 150? hmm.gif Sorry i am noob in audiophile... sweat.gif

AD700 has a better bass and a deeper mid, with more body to the overall sound, DrVero 150.. meh..

I see.... hmm.gif
But seems like many people complain about low bass of AD series, havent got chance to test one though... unsure.gif

After doing little bit research on headphone, i now have a direction to decide which headphones suitable to me. But i juz realize there is a big problem for me to wear it when i am wearing spectacles. It definitely make me uncomfortable when i am wearing spectacles & headphones at the same time, so maybe i have to change my target to iem. But there is also a problem for me to use iem, is maybe my left ear hole abit bigger, iem will easily drop when my ear become oily, & my ear easily become oily. These are the problems that i am facing. Any design of headphones or iem can help me solve the problems? Thanks very much in advance.

How big is your head size? hmm.gif I used to have this problem due to big ears and wear spec. And then i found Audio Technica AD series.. wub.gif
Provided that you have big head else the headphone will drop laugh.gif , the so call "3D" wing design will not press your ear towards the spec nod.gif
