- Your rig -- iPhone 4s
- What type of usage -- Strictly Music - File format used in your source -- 192-320kbps MP3,m4a - Genre of music you listen to -- Random, mostly pop - Headphone/ earphone type -- IEM only - Other requirements -- Warm sound with "thumping" bass not " boom boom" bass like beats which ruins the vocal,if can need comfort also but not so necessary as long as it stays in my ear Budgets -- around RM100,stretchable to RM150 Currently using stock IEM come with galaxy s3 which surprised me a little with a stock earphone, sounds warm, just the vocal is not forward, also owning Sony MDR-ZX600 which for me sounds "dry" So any recommendation ? QUOTE(THEswordmaster @ Jan 19 2014, 04:26 AM) Hi, I owned an AD700 and it's still doing well after 3 years. I've being thinking of getting it to work since my earphone at office is beyond rescue. But I notice that my headphone is "loud" enough that others can hear what I'm listening to feets away. Well, AD700 is an open air headphone, meaning the back of the headphone lets air in for for more natural sounds. (not sure if this is the right way to explain though, hahah) and open air headphones are like mini speakers. then send as much sound outside, as they let you hear. So i've being thinking of buying a new full cup headphone, comfortable, minimum noise leak (I don't know if this is what you call it), and the budget is below RM300 if possible. I'm not an audiophile, just want some comfortable headphone to listen to some music/video throughout the workday. Thanks in advance. currently i'm using ATH PRO5MK2 and the noise leakage is very low. sure in a quiet room, on full volume when i wear it, others can hear a bit. but on 60~80% volume almost no sound is leaked. since i haven't tested out a lot of products, i'll only say that what i have (for 310rm) is worth the money. edit: you might want to check out ATH M30 and M35. QUOTE(hunter087 @ Jan 21 2014, 12:15 PM) Thanks for replying me... i never listened to the m20 or the tad300 so i can't give a honest opinion , but i own the superlux hd669 , hd668b and the audio technica ath-t500..so i can tell u about those..the hd669 for me is a decent headphone, it's certainly durable but the comfort is not so much , the pad will get your ear sweating and the grip will crush your skull..but u will get used to it after a while..the sound is good on the hd669 it's clear and the is bass good for the price tag, the noise isolation also good on the hd 669, i would recommend this if u want a close back headphone with cheap price tag ..or if u want a all rounder headphone u can get the superlux hd668b or the HD681 EVO. but those are semi open...if u want something better u can get the audio technica ath-t500 that sell around rm200-rm215Previously i was thinking to grab Audio technica m20 or tad300... Guys, any recommendation for an IEM with the budget of <RM400 ?
Currently the Final Audio Design Adagio 3 caught my attention. Am looking more on instrumental music rather then vocals. Sound stage is important. Am using a MSPro as my current headset for reference Not planning to throw too much into this IEM as im more to a Headphone guy |
