Hello, looking for opinions here

- Your rig- Iphone and laptop
- What type of usage- music, gym
- File format used in your source- mp3 (iphone), Flac and mp3 for laptop.
- Genre of music you listen to- Trance, House, Acoustic
- Headphone/ earphone type- IEM
- Other requirements (if any)- budget less than RM150

more information: I am looking for IEM currently, for gym or EDM music listening. I own a Koss KSC-75 currently, but it is too messy to use it in the gym as I move around alot, so a smaller pair would help.

I would prefer IEM that focus on bass, any recommendation?

Need recommendations for two types of earphones, will decide which to choose afterwards. One that is more for sports and another one for general use =D

For general use:
- Your rig - Sony Xperia ZL, Laptop
- What type of usage - music when using the LRT. Light usage for movies and gaming
- File format used in your source - mp3 (320kbps)
- Genre of music you listen to - full range, generally techno, pop and rock
- Headphone/ earphone type IEM
- Other requirements - Good isolation, Sound quality to be as good as possible, generally leaning towards bass (but not too heavy), tangle free cable is preferred. Good durability.
Budget - Give suggestions for both below RM200 and below RM 300 pls =D (might get increase the budget)

For sports:
- Your rig - Sony Walkman N-series,
- What type of usage - music during sports
- File format used in your source - mp3
- Genre of music you listen to - full range, generally techno, pop and rock
- Headphone/ earphone type - IEM
- Other requirements - Good isolation and fit (used for running and flips), Sound quality to be as good as the budget allows it to be =P, durable and not easily damaged when pulled on or when hooked onto something, preferably sweat-resistant. Tangle-free cords will not hurt at all =D.
Budget - Below RM200

i bought a new headphone, it works pretty good at my PC and phone, but a lot of noise on my laptop, same things happened if i connect a different headphone to my laptop.
the noise is very obvious and is there all the time, even i din't play any music/movie.

anyway i can reduce the noise?
also, what is the main purpose of DAC? i tried on amp, the bass become very heavy and i not like it.

those are the problems of an onboard audio peripheeral, so thats why we have external dac and amp, they isolate away static noise from the motherboard

Guys, I saw a Parrot Zik, is it recommend or seriously overrated, have been reading numerous reviews, all have mixed feelings and I'm getting more confused.

My case:
Live in a rented room with 2 more friends, so prefer wireless stuff.
Commute via public transport daily, so wireless is much better. Noise Cancelling is a bonus.
I like the design but dislike the price and soft pouch.

I'm not really an avid audiophile, but would love something of good quality and comfy, if I say I want something to last long, I will just be slapping myself, nothing is built to last anymore, its just how we care for it right whistling.gif

Anyways, my friend ask me to try beats (dre), almost bought it, love the sound and all, its comfy and looks cool. But then again, I would prefer a brand that not many people knows, so they might laugh me off as buying pasar malam stuff. Hehehe

Many people in the audio world would bash you for saying you love the sound of beats lol
given their quality, i'd say their real worth is probably RM200. If you love bass you can try UE9000 or V-Moda M100. Unfortunately only the UE9000 has a wireless model.
