Good things come to those that work hard for it. Loving my One now! Battery life so far is FREAKIN AWESOME. Feels much better than my Note II last time in terms of heavy usage duration!

QUOTE(edthrax @ May 10 2013, 03:11 PM) Typing this on my new 32gb silver HTC one. The phone feels abit warm after long use but if u use it in cold air cond environment, u won't notice it Nice. Looks like you have a brand new awesome phone to enjoy over the weekend! So far, heat is not a problem for me. But I find that using the camera heats up the phone a lot and drains the battery too. Did you notice it? |

QUOTE(benny888 @ May 10 2013, 04:19 PM) Oh that's fast. Was the phone turned off or something?Mine was on wifi with auto updating blinkfeeds, and plenty plenty of whatsapp message and emails coming in. Replied some whatsapp messages but did not play games / videos or anything that requires heavy CPU. 3 hours could only get me from 4% to 85% or so. and after that it slowed down to a crawl so perhaps 3.5 hours is my estimate. |

QUOTE(entity @ May 10 2013, 04:43 PM) Hey guys, would I have any problems buying imported HTC One's instead of waiting for Senheng, SiS versions to be more easily purchasable? Like would I be able to use LTE with Maxis sims? Not having any luck with Senheng..and I really need one for mothers day so I'm going to have to just buy the expensive ones available now You mean from DirectD? Well, should be okay but make sure that he is willing to give warranty for speaker blowout, screen issues, etc etc. I nearly bought from him but luckily my friend managed to secure an SiS unit on the same day itself. QUOTE(jason111785 @ May 10 2013, 05:02 PM) Nice work there bro. But knowing Senheng's heavy advertising, the chances of the stock still being available are REALLY slim. Whoever wants it, better call like NOW itself. |

QUOTE(ArmedandDangerous @ May 10 2013, 05:58 PM) Absolutely no coverage from mid-KL to south KL. Seems to be in Damansara, and uptown KL only. Maxis coverage much better ): That's why I don't want to go to Digi lol. In my office right in Mid Valley, Edge I agree.Maxis, P4 underground parking I get 700Kbps People always say maxis cut-throat this and that, but they still provide the BEST data coverage with very good signal strength. Other providers might be cheaper but you get what you pay for. And in some cases, the other providers are 'conning' you by giving you below-standard services. |

QUOTE(joelucas91 @ May 10 2013, 06:39 PM) Add me to the owners' list too. Silver model Yes, I'm still very impressed with the battery on my HTC One. The battery bar takes a hard time to go down! LOL.When I opened the unit, the battery was at about 78%. After 3 hours of heavy usage, whatsapp, calls, installing a lot of apps, playing music through the loudspeakers... it's charging now at around 30%. So the battery life is pretty excellent IMO. Plus this is not even the first charge. My serial number starts with SH34 I would say it feels like it can last longer on heavy usage compared to the Note II I had some time back. Very satisfied. Now I won't even think twice about not getting the S4. |

QUOTE(jason111785 @ May 11 2013, 02:38 AM) Any major benefits? If only there's a way to ROOT and put a feature to wake the phone without pressing the physical top button. Like my BlackBerry Z10 can wake the phone by just swiping the screen from the bottom up. Wish Android can do it too with all its customizations!!! |

QUOTE(jason111785 @ May 11 2013, 03:54 AM) Custom rom enable use to use vol+ to wake the device Oh that's nice. But the bad part is, the volume buttons are harder to press than the lock button. Also, you can long press home/back button for menu.. so the 3 dot bar can disappear Still I hope there's support for Sweep2Wake which I'm using now on my Nexus 4. Just swipe to wake the phone. QUOTE(K1d0 @ May 11 2013, 09:21 AM) Android got another way to wakeup by using smart screen on, not sure require root anot. By just swiping thru your light sensor (*Depends how many time u set) you can wake your phone and unlock your screen. Hmm.. The proximity light sensor is not really practical to be used as such I think. Remember, even keeping your phone in the pocket is similar to swiping it. I could be wrong though. Maybe you could enlighten me. QUOTE(edthrax @ May 11 2013, 10:46 AM) 2nd day on using the fon.. I must say, this one of a beast htc has created. battery is a bit normal for me, I had longer battery on other phone. There's only ONE reason I stayed away from S4. It looks just like a S3 / Note 2, which is just lame. I've had Samsungs fon before(note 2,s3 , s4(for a day)) and I can htc one design will make Samsung phone feels like a toy. Another note, the phone packs a bit of weight. The HTC One, on the other hand, is like the rose among the thorns in the Android world. The metal build is similar to the iPhone 5, which is why Apple fans are all over it even though the screen just went bigger by 0.5". QUOTE(lordofvirtue @ May 11 2013, 11:12 AM) Exactly. This will make the HTC One extremely rare by then. Most people will go for the non-LTE S4 since it's so widely available. Samsung clearly has a tight grip in the smartphone market here. I still hope that the accessories market for HTC One will be much larger once the phone starts to be widely available nationwide. HTC does indeed started to make the phone's presence known to the masses thanks to the newspaper ads lately. Most people nowadays that got for TOP-END smartphones are tech-savvy or at least read online reviews. The HTC One is touted as BEST smartphone in most reviews even when pitted against S4. It's only a matter of time when HTC's supply catches up with overwhelming demand. But still, HTC's QC is crap, and HTC original warranty in Malaysia is pathetic (just reading their FB scares me). QUOTE(ArmedandDangerous @ May 11 2013, 01:08 PM) Yes, unless developers managed to S-Off the phone, therefore able to rewrite the HBOOT to restore it as stock. Yes, Am waiting patiently for S-Off to be out first! |

QUOTE(hussain @ May 11 2013, 03:26 PM) LOL. You are a bad influence to your dad. Looks like you have one big HTC One family! QUOTE(K1d0 @ May 11 2013, 03:36 PM) Hmm, not really haha...i used on my desire z, tested on few cases like moving my phone across paper, put in pocket and etc. It wont unlock, only when you use finger. If you use pro version, you can set more setting like sensitvity and etc. Wow. That's awesome. Didn't know the light sensor can be programmed so well. Gonna check it out once S-Off is out! Cheers |

QUOTE(grabulasa @ May 11 2013, 03:48 PM) Just got the first (and last one) from Sen Heng Batu Berendam Melaka. Quite a good deal, got RM50 rebate for SenHeng member plus RM40 vouchers to be used next month. SenHeng extended warranty really that good? Perhaps I should have bought from them too. Opted for the extended warranty for an additional 3 years for RM165, the guy explained to me if there's a problem they can't fix within the warranty period, they'll issue a voucher for the purchase price of the phone. Sounds a bit fantastic, but the price seems pretty reasonable for 3 year warranty extension. Picked up a transparent melko case for RM49 too. Btw, anyone got any idea where to buy HTC One cases? Most online sellers don't even have stock (except Tskhor in Penang). Want to get one ASAP now. All SenHeng / SenQ branches have cases for sale? |

Too many factors involved on Back Button problem , so I would recommend users NOT to worry unless it really happens to you.
Give you some examples of what the complaints are and my thoughts- - Software / Firmware related (some said that the 'defects' disappeared after installing certain ROM / firmware) - Not pressing properly (contact points of the button is indeed very small) - Screen Protector (Lot of people complaint about this) - Case (some said after using certain cases, the problem happened) - Loose Glass Construction Over Button (This is what I think is likely the case. If you are the person who always keeps you phones in your pants / jeans pocket, you might destroy / dislodge / loosen the construction in the bottom part of the phone which is most likely the cause). All in all, the HTC One is fragile as hell. And HTC's support/warranty is lousy / slow. Only get the HTC One if you are willing to keep in in the service centre for a few months if anything happens to it. For me, if my HTC One ever ends up in their service centre (touch wood!) I will actually just go out and buy another one to use in the mean time (provided no other Android phones better than the HTC One are released by then). BEST Android phone I have ever used to date (have owned Note II, S3, Nexus 4, etc etc). |

Here's a quote from http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/htc-user...082270-221.html
There seem to be two back button scenarios 1. Must tap exactly on the back icon to get it to work 2. Back button stops working completely (no matter where u tap, near or on icon, no response) for 10-40s then it start working on its own again. Alternatively, turning off/on screen will make it function immediately. For (1) ppl claim that to solve this, you can try recalibrate using settings->language & keyboard ->sense input ->advanced-> recalibrate . Not sure if screen protector really makes it worse though but if you're using included htc sp, make u wanna remove and test since there's one more piece if u still wanna use it For (2) you can try replicate the problem by turning on haptic feedback(so easier to tell whether working or not), then spam press back button with one finger while other finger open, close or use apps. Guaranteed to trigger the "dead" back button within 20-40s if it is indeed present. This case nothing to do with sp or even firmware for that matter since flashing custom firmware didnt help. You better bring to telco shop or svc centre for 1-1 exchange if still within the xchange period |

QUOTE(KENTK3 @ May 13 2013, 03:43 PM) i using htc butterfly now.after unplug at 9am ,phone setup 50% brightness and data on all the time(whastapp+facebook+some games) No way the HTC Butterfly battery life is close to HTC One.only can use until 5-6pm only HTC One has smaller screen, and much higher capacity than Butterfly. I'm very satisfied with HTC One battery life. It really can get me through the day on quite heavy use. I would say even when I was using Note II last time, the HTC One performs as good when it comes to web browsing, etc. |

QUOTE(idesmond @ May 13 2013, 05:21 PM) 5.17pm @ 68%. Charger off since 9.00am. Unfortunately I'm always on the move and am not tethered to WiFi at times, so I'm mostly on LTE / 3G. Yet, the battery life is really stellar! No regrets at all. Usage: 20 mins calls, 1 hour of whatsapp, reading push email from Exchange Server (30++ emails) + Gmail (10 emails) + Y!Mail (3 emails), 1 game of bejeweled blitz, 10 mins of instagram, 80% WiFi + 100% Bluetooth connection. 20 mins of Blink Feed. It makes a HUGE difference if you turn on GPS scanning. Same usage like this last week, but with GPS on. Battery was like 40% at this time. My only thought is that HTC really optimized Sense 5.0 very very well on battery consumption. Can you imagine I charge my HTC One at about the same frequency for which I charged my 3100mah-battery Note II last time. Don't miss out on not getting S4 (with bigger battery) a single bit! |
