Guyz. I'm interested in buying Corsair Vengenace K60. But some said it is not fully mechanical. Why is that?
*
Because the function keys (top row) and the delete, insert, page up and so on cluster is of rubber dome.

We suggest that you better wait for K75 if you really like it for a full mechanical, backlit, bigger arm rest and sexier black color.

There isnt a K75 but there is a K70. But is it available in MY?
*
My bad, cause somehow confused with their naming scheme for their 2nd gen of peripherals...

K90 -> k95
M60 -> M65
M90 -> M95

And no, not yet.

K60 turns into K70 ayam
that is already the dropped price, when they were first released, they were expensive as hell too. in australia, when K60 first released, they were 150$ - 160$, nowadays.. 129$ can get liao.
*
Yar, thats where the magic come. May be cause they feel that they done two much upgrade from K60, thus the name of K65 didn't justify the amount of upgrade and the pricing of it.

K70 ayam? Means that K60 is better than K70? Btw, the price at their official website is $129
*
+ international shipping it is almost the RM500.

Upgrade from K60 -> K70 =
Full mechanical
Full backlit
Sexay black color
Fullsize giant palm rest.

BTW, don't ever hope that it will be <RM400 when it reach Malaysia judging from the previous trend of overpricing of Corsair in Malaysia.

is corsair quality good ? and only red switch is available for this ?
*
Same OEM with CM TK, Logitech G710+, Roccat's mech kb.

So far most of the board are having solid quality, but also having some misc electrical/firmware problem such as dying led for G710+ and firmware problem for corsair's K60/90.

Yar, corsair only make red switch, as red switch are being tagged by "gaming" back then.

Really worth to grab? He claim warranty from Cherry it self. This is self import or what?
*
That board normal market price is around RM300-350, and can't even being found in Malaysia without import (of which such a big keyboard means a international shipping of at least RM25).
http://s.taobao.com/search?q=g80+3494&sear...=itemz_20130527

Warranty part I not sure, but getting such a keyboard, I don't think I will ever think about warranty (I mean it is a PCB mounted board, modding is almost a must, LOL).

Last, FYI, I feel that PCB mounted red switch actually feel better to type on compared to plate-mounted one. brows.gif

What's the different for PCB mounted and plate mounted? So, worth it to buy but not mod. And what does he mean with cheap and filmsy build?
*
For the typing feel, the stopping time on plate mounted board is shorter, thus bottoming it may feel a little painful after long time use.

But for PCB mounted, the impact time is slightly longer, thus the landing/bottoming doesn't feel as painful on plate-mounted.

Worth or not, it is quite subjective. But at this price, it is good especially for 1st timer (or even for old-dog that havn't tried PCB mounted b4).

Disclaimer: Do note that PCB mounted board may lack the solidness feel of plate-mounted, but I don't think it can be counted as cheap and filmsy, at least not for this model of Cherry board.

LOL, how to define the "BEST"? It is like Samsung vs Apple, Honda vs Toyota, Nvidia vs AMD and the list go on... sweat.gif

Mostly depend on personal opinion/experience. If under normal situation sure satisfactory guaranteed. But if you are bad luck, then no matter how best the option is, it is still a bad option, LOL.

Of course talking about common sense in term of service quality and agent reputation.

By the way, throwing this question to those who bought MKB from Taobao.com before.
I got below quote from an agent:
RM xxxx + RM 20 (sensitive item - keyboard) + RM 24 (estimated 2 kg to west malaysia) = RM xxxx

Is this normal to add RM20 for so called "sensitive item" ?
*
I don't face this problem b4 for all 3 of my previous experience. But the last time I import a KB is November last year though.

Who need a corsair K70/95 while some random China board offer more, LOL just kidding.

BTW, here is yet another random China brand "gaming" keyboard. Though this time it is fullsize, wireless and topless design similar to Corsair.

Besides Topre and Ducky, I'm not trusting any other brand unless they have a very nice feedback from legit reviewers. hmm.gif
P/S: LEDs not dead yet.

Not really, most others solid mech kb are OEMed in China. And some of them really offering solid board which are features rich yet significantly cheaper.

I don't love my Filco. Love it. Love it!

There are some seriously crappy mech boards our there *cough* Razer *cough* *cough*... but Filco definitely is not one of them. Using the Orbweaver for quite a while now, it's nice, but not as nice as the Filco (same switch, same o-rings). The keys just feel a bit 'off' to me. Still nice for FPS gaming though.

Now confused between Majestouch 2 or Majestouch Ninja. I'm interested with Ninja but afraid later hard to see the key caps if typing. Well, not a pro typer. biggrin.gif
*
Keycaps is not a concern when purchasing a mech kb, at least not the major concern, cause eventually, you are going to replace them with aftermart keycaps, LOL.

In other words, layout > keycaps.
