QUOTE(mansooriqbal @ Jun 1 2013, 03:36 PM) In keycaps, there are numerous fonts/legends printing methodsThe most common one is pad printing and laser. Apart from them, there are engraving, dye sub and double shot, which are deemed higher level than those common methods. |

QUOTE(mansooriqbal @ Jun 1 2013, 05:10 PM) Just google it, should had picture.Durability wise, dyesub and double shots are top, which literally last forever. Flexibility wise, dye sub is top, where it can print virtually any paterns and colors onto it as you wish. Though, double shots is unique for able two produce dual tones color keycap with sharp contrast and interesting pictures. This post has been edited by Human10: Jun 1 2013, 05:16 PM |

QUOTE(markypcs @ Jun 1 2013, 09:30 PM) Hey guys. I'm thinking of switching to my first mechanical keyboard. They are of different segment, no?Between these two, which would you guys recommend? CM Storm QuickFire Rapid and Ducky DK9008 Shine II I'm open to other brands too if anyone wants to recommend. Thanks! One around RM2xx while another is RM3xx. BTW, if the price is not your concern, then it all depend whether you want/need the backlit or not. If not needed, you can settle on QFR. If BL is a must, I guess you got no choice but to get the Shine2. |

And is there any Ducky reseller lurking around LYN forums? Reseller - Heavyarm and others Distributor - Cyntrix Tech |

QUOTE(vincent09 @ Jun 1 2013, 10:14 PM) OFT, you guys still can go for taobao web? What you said may be true.Becareful the red POM keycaps ( if you want to grab together ), I not sure is it same ppl as I get, the POM keycaps is very tight when you put in, lucky I try on my switch keychain, is damn hard to pull it out although I pull out from the keychain but the keycap still stick with the switch there... Any idea how to make it loose before installing? I got see a guy keep pull out n install back on spare switch then only install it. From one of the buyers: "就是红色感觉菊花略紧" Which mean it is a little tight. This post has been edited by Human10: Jun 1 2013, 11:35 PM |

QUOTE(kaysa @ Jun 2 2013, 02:46 AM) In for 20 transparent if you organize a bulk of this, let me know when you need me to pay. I am too lazy + busy for organising a bulk, so I guess the proposal go down to the drain first till the right mood/ppl strike, LOL. but if you find out it's too tight or something, and you not decide to go for it, leave me out too. Thanks. |

QUOTE(mansooriqbal @ Jun 2 2013, 03:56 PM) anyone selling shine 2 keycaps. Something which will look good with RED leds? Sorry I am too noob for that chinese website and I don't have anyone to help me with that website. Somemore that website is so slow. Must be backlit keycaps (those that is black in color and the light shine through the legends) one? Or any normal keycaps can do? |

QUOTE(mansooriqbal @ Jun 2 2013, 04:19 PM) the ones it came with are black n it shows red LED through them. I want to get PBT ones as i heard it gives u a better typing experience. I am looking for better typing experience + fancy Do note that there literally aren't PBT backlit keycaps out there. So in other words, if you go PBT, you can't get backlit keycaps (but powerful LED can still shine through brighter and thinner PBT keycaps though). This is the effect of LED with brighter color PBT. ![]() |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Jun 2 2013, 10:43 PM) No I don't understand literally. OK, mah bad. I think I should use "pratically" instead. Anyway, that LED mod is distracting as well. Serve no usage other than to show off to your friends. I don't want the whole keyboard blinking when I am typing. That's the same as those idiots with extra bright LED 3rd brake light stepping on their brakes during traffic jams and you are sitting behind the light keep blinking on your face even though you are looking away. Can cause epilepsy |

Omai, Plum 75 is around the corner.
If you are looking for a feature packed keyboard, no doubt this will be a good choice. http://www.waishehome.cn/thread-73359-3-1.html But a little disappointed that they make it Bluetooth instead of normal 2.4Ghz usb wireless they did in previous keyboard.
