It's because majority of the huge markets around the world have the international 4G i9505 model instead of the 3G i9500 model that Malaysia got unlike the S2 and S3 where majority had the base 3G model. So most android community support for the S4 will center around the i9505 instead of the i9500 Galaxy S4.

A number of people seem to be asking this question and we don't have any clear answers. The best possible solution for all of you people facing this problem is to bring your phone to a samsung service centre.

Any LTE set available in Malaysia would be an AP set.

Samsung Malaysia have only released the 3G i9500 version in Malaysia. Anybody selling the 4G i9505 in Malaysia would have imported it from the likes of Singapore etc., if you buy this sets, your warranty won't be covered by Samsung Malaysia.
Samsung has not officially announced when the LTE version will be released in Malaysia or what the price will be.

It depends on each person and their requirements. Depending on the plan you choose, you could either save money in the long run or be spending more money compared to outright + cheaper plan. It depends on what trade off you are willing to accept to save money. I have very little familiarity with malaysian postpaid contract plans so I can't really advice you on that. I have always been buying my phones outright. My malaysian number has been on the same old plan which provides very good value for more than 6 years haha.

Most probably not. It's just something they choose not to implement but designed in the software I guess.
In countries where the shutter sound for cameras is a requirement by law, their ROMs will still sound the shutter sound even if you put the phone in silent mode.

Looking good and feels good on my phone. It provides a great middle ground for those that wants a case that will reasonably protect your phone and don't want too much bulk. I do have one complaint though, the opening for the headphone jack is small and adds a few millimetres of distance so the plug of my Audio Technica AD900X headphones can't fit in there anymore. The opening is a perfect fit for my Final Audio Piano Forte II earbuds though.

Edit: Also went and tried my old Sennheiser HD 25-1 II and my housemate's Beats headphones, the Sennheiser does not fit as well while the Beats headphones having a small and thin L shaped plug barely fits with the L shape touching the case.

An aluminium back cover could affect the quality of signals greatly. There's a reason why the HTC One has some plastic lines for the antennas etc.

The dropbox free space is only for the first account that loged into the phone and that space will stay with the person until the 2 year expiration. Anybody after that won't get that space and even if you no longer have the phone and it's no longer linked to your account that dropbox space will still be with you.

In fact, I tried go to a shop, log into a HTC One demo unit, wait a few seconds to get email from dropbox, then immediately unlink also get extra 23gb space for 2 years haha XP

Never used the ultra optics but I'm using the ultra oleophobic SP.
1. The ultra oleophobic doesn't affect clarity at all, it's a clear sp and have very minimal to no effect on the picture quality. Most people won't notice a difference, I definitely don't.
2. Don't use optic so don't know, oleophobic still smudge but a lot easier to wipe clean compared to ultra crystal.

Well the Snapdragon 800 and Tegra 4 are coming out soon after all, so in terms of raw power, everything we have now won't be able to compete in the second half of the year among new flagships, though other than power, will pretty much be about the same in terms of features I guess.

It's very simple really how to conclude that the seller's SGP cases are fake.
First of all, SGP cases are famous and therefore very commonly fakes, there are tons of fake SGP cases on ebay that fits the seller's price point while on their website and through their authorised resellers, SGP cases retails for more around the RM100 marks.

There are others who are selling on lowyat at around his price point though some of them actually mention that those are china OEMs or by the layman's term means fake copies. Honestly, I would discourage greatly buying from sellers like that who try to pass off fake products as the real deal.

The second thing to watch out is the pictures of his product. He has 10 different colours up for sale when spigen has only produced 5 colours

The third thing is watch the picture of his packaging, the packaging says "Neo Hybrid" when they should be saying "Slim Armor".

Been weeks, just go to some telco store or samsung store or even your local phone shop and see if they have stock.

It's coming from the US, I'm assuming you paid for cheapest shipping option, it's normal to take 10-20 working days after it's shipped for that option. Add a bit more time if you don't live in a metro area. I'm sure otterbox would provide a refund if the item never arrived.

Next time, if you want more security, if the option is available, pay by paypal or buy from places that accepts paypal payments so it's a lot easier to get your money in case anything happens and the seller isn't as helpful as some bigger more reputable companies.

Get some good earphones from places like Jaben, it'll make you realise how average free earphones that usually comes with mobile phones are.

The Google Edition Galaxy S4 would probably be done on the SGH-I337 (AT&T) hardware rather than the GT-I9505 hardware (sames specs, just different LTE bands are supported and the SGH-I337 doesn't support 900 MHz for 3G). Give XDA a few days with ROMs ripped from the phone and I'm sure versions to suit other S4 versions would appear.
