japan annual "self defence" budget, even though is less than 1 percent, is still like 1000% more than malaysia's entire 5 year plan military budget |

Indonesian president vows to outgun Australia Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono says his country should strive to have a more powerful military than Australia. About 16,000 Indonesian troops are preparing for joint military exercises in East Java. Meeting with military commanders, Mr Yudhoyono told them that Indonesia's military should be bigger and more modern than countries like Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. Indonesia's military boasts 470,000 active troops, while the Australian Defence Force has just over 80,000 full-time personnel and reservists.. It has also embarked on a military upgrade program, building warships and drones, as well buying fighter jets, helicopters and rockets. ..................... p/s: any indon members can id the missile at the background. terima kaseh |

1 single dig, despite with his highspeed F88 rifle and his top-of-the-line plate carrier, won't win against 1000+ bamboo-armed indon mobs screaming "durka durka"

QUOTE(cks2k2 @ May 8 2013, 03:38 PM) he's not one of the "inner circle" people (as opposed to wiranto and co). so he may get challenge from other ex general as wellhaving said that, being out of said "circle", that means he has better background record than the likes of wiranto and co. no illicit ops, etc |

the US army is also considering other options. among them are CV90, Anders and that israeli IFV based on soivet mbt chasis
why the fark the AIFV has never even being considered (even though it's originated in us) is beyond my comprehension |

i'd preferred AH-1Z. it's combat-proven(hell the word "proven" is an understatement), cheaper than AH-64,yet comparable in term of firepower and lower maintanence and flight per hour cost as well.
if possible we should get AH-64E. but perhaps it's too expensive for us (and then izzah&co. whining lagi). some of us did mentioned Mi-35. and i actually don't really mind if we get these as our gunship.it's cheaper and can carry a section of infantrymen. |

consider it as a learning curve. ofc it wont enter serial production. thus the feedback(obviously negative from all sides, really) will help improve their product.
since they're trying to make a gun from scratch, the design bound to be like that. |
