Hello new user for Y510P single graphics reporting in! Seller gave me 3 years McAfee for free but I read some comments saying it's the cause of lag... Should I use it or sell? Bought mine from a lenovo retail outlet, price was abit high but it's fresh MY set c/w 2 year warranty. I plan to play bf4 &codG soon, what's the normal temperature when playing the game after a couple of hours? If temp high can send back for warranty? How do you guys check the temperature? Thanks in advance!

I have been forced to use McAfee for 3 years and it has not been a good experience...

The worst I got is when McAfee prevents me to have any kind of network, ping to localhost return general failure!

Well, i dont know what policy that our IT department put into that thing but one thing for sure different people does have different experience. biggrin.gif

Few thing that I really am annoyed with McAfee is the high resource usage whenever it is scanning, and another is the firewall issue that i mentioned before... for both of that reason, I always recommend ppl remove it from day one.

I feel 1080p on 15" is quite comfortable... but if your keyboard is within your reach. Once it is not the font is too small already....

Hi,

There's 2 models for Y510P right?
Any recommended seller for Malaysia Units?
Is it worthy to get the more expensive one?
The only difference is the SLI graphic card right?

Thanks.

I bought mine from retail lenovo at sunway pyramid! Nearly got conned by some indian guy due to the cheap price. My advice, don't go for the cheap ones. Get original MY set. Usually it'll be not less than 3300!

GT750M is better or worse compared to GTX660M on Y580?
Anyone using Y510p SLI version here?
Is it worth to get SLI version or just get the solo GT750M will be sufficient?

both benchmark only differ by 100points++ according to Passmark G3D, 750M is slightly more powerful so on single card config, you probably won't notice any advantage.

But the thing that I hate about the newer one is GT prefix, means less features compare to GTX660M. but the lack of feature on GTX660M means nothing when you game unless you care about TXAA. Other than that, the missing features can always be compensated using the intel's iGP since mostly I think it's about hardware accelerated video codec.

If you are going SLi, definitely GT750M's performance is far better.
