QUOTE(zeone @ May 1 2013, 01:34 PM) Going strictly by the instructions, it's not to be mixed with anything else, just pour inside. But logically, I think it should be mixed with water. Like I said it doesn't make sense to buy 10 bottles of those just to fill up your 5L radiator tank. Better consult your local mechanic on this QUOTE(dares @ May 1 2013, 01:30 PM) Neber This post has been edited by lhwj: May 1 2013, 01:38 PM |

QUOTE(zeone @ May 1 2013, 01:39 PM) Good idea. Next time just buy coolant that has clear, specific instructions.I suspect that coolant isn't really produced by Petronas, merely branded as so. After all coolant is not a fuel nor lubricant This post has been edited by lhwj: May 1 2013, 01:49 PM |

Ya lo..my mistake...choosing Petronas item...I suspect that coolant isn't really produced by Petronas, merely branded as so. After all coolant is not a fuel nor lubricant Din read thru contents of labels...assumed too much! Good lesson learnt liao. That's why got saying...We live, We learn... Me still learning.... QUOTE(dares @ May 1 2013, 11:21 AM) QUOTE(zeone @ May 1 2013, 11:35 AM) ps. Me oledi chk in www.mymesra.com.my but no info on that rad coolant at all.... Just drain your radiator tank, pour the 1.5 bottle of coolant in to your radiator tank, fill it up with water. Start your engine, then continue proceed to add the rest 1/2 bottle into the reservoir tank, fill up half full of water into the reserve tank will do. Choices of liquid can be normal tap water, but they're very active agents such as chlorine, heavy metal in the tap water. Should you sayang the car so damn much, go hyper market buy a 5 liter bottled distill water, buy another extra 1.5litre for the reservoir tank. pps. Hv nvr bought something w/o info of how 2use wan.... Me really need As far as I know, premixed coolant does not supply in less than 1 litre form |

But usually go service will bring back the bottle with little leftover oil. Why ah? Is it cause got some remnant oil left in the engine during service that is not replaced? :S |

QUOTE(redshark_999 @ May 1 2013, 03:41 PM) thanks~ My bottle never gets returned to me, but when I watch them pour the oil they typically leave the bottle upside down at the oil fill hole for quite a few minutes. Likewise, when they pull out the drain plug it's also left for quite a few minutes so the old oil should be almost completely drained But usually go service will bring back the bottle with little leftover oil. Strictly speaking, according to the manual it's 3.75L for the oil pan and another 0.3L for the oil filter. Me hv done EO change via DIY under my porch... Re above, there are a few possibilities : 1. That bottle of oil might not hv exactly 4L of oil; 2. The mech did not pour in all the oil...not like wat the mech did in yr case; 3. Worst scenario : a hint of possibility that the Oil Filter might not hv been changed... This post has been edited by zeone: May 1 2013, 06:29 PM |
