I think I felt even more happy than any of you when I heard mingwei told me his throttle lag has been totally eleminated. As I left TT the same evening, received SMS from Nazri from PROSBOC saying "ini macam normal nie", I almost cry and ask back why oni normal. The reply was "macam kereta normal pakei kabel throttle", I was so hepi until I almost did not roll down my manly tears.

Hi Bro YAB... notworthy.gif

Me in Pg now...curi masa 2post abit lo...hehe...

Yup, Me used yr innovative idea and even by using simple available (tho not so hi class) materials, me cld produce noticeable improvement in the DBW lag in our Gagas.... thumbup.gif

Me juz used thick (4got how many strands) 13A 3core cables joined as one cable (mayb Bro Kenjilew can enlighten me...) and connected the rear eng hook to neg terminal of batt3.
Made the terminals look nicer by shrink-tubing both ends...

And made 1st test trip today to Pg....
Was great feeling cos cld feel the practically lack of lag...like no DBW thingey!
Bro V12K punya FS oledi cut down my throttle press...and now this....makes great effortless driving for this ole man.... cheers.gif

Tks a meg, Bro YAB, for yr willingness to share yr joys & experiences....
Me believe "Sharing is truly Caring..."
As Sdr mizynee testified above, sincerity to help others is indeed a very rare virtue these days...
Keep up the good work!

As in those Taiwan Hokkien HHD dramas, it is oft quoted "ppl doing, heavens watching..."
I believe so...
TQVM, Bro YAB!!

Those who did wat we kno they did are only having $$$ signs in their eyes...nothing more...nothing less!!
Sincere apologies if me step on any toes here...but the truth is the truth....no denying that fact... icon_rolleyes.gif

Hv a great day, everybody!

ps. Me wish me were nearer to KL than so far up North....

IINM me did read abt something similar in one of LYN car threads...pulling a tube arnd the side of a bush & cable-tying the ends together...holding the tubing in place lo...

Further info...re Rad Coolant....

In Gaga User manual, total required vol is 5L.
Concentration between 25-35%....

My logic...kenot be buying 5L of that stuff 2use pure, true?
5 x RM16 = RM80 liao.... sweat.gif

Let's say using concentration of 30% wld mean 1& 1/2L...
Means me wld need another bottle...?
Correct? icon_question.gif notworthy.gif

Btw re the Toyota LLC many are shouting abt in most forums, izzit ready-mixed?
Good?
Pricewise?
Also lots of reports of imitations... doh.gif
True?

IMHO, if it was pre-mixed it wouldn't come in such small bottles. They'll sell it in a 5+L large bottle.

Yu got a good point there, Bro.... tongue.gif

Me bought them fr my nearby Petronas Petrol Service Statiom...
And yup, 2play safe, mayb buy 1 more bottle as standby? smile.gif

Going strictly by the instructions, it's not to be mixed with anything else, just pour inside.

But logically, I think it should be mixed with water.

Better consult your local mechanic on this sweat.gif

If 10 bottles, me better go get that Toyota Red LLC lo..
Definitely cheaper...IINM....tongue.gif

Only the fear of imitation stuff.... rolleyes.gif

Update : mayb me try call Petronas Helpline 2moro....? icon_rolleyes.gif

Good idea. Next time just buy coolant that has clear, specific instructions.

I suspect that coolant isn't really produced by Petronas, merely branded as so. After all coolant is not a fuel nor lubricant hmm.gif

Ya lo..my mistake...choosing Petronas item...
Din read thru contents of labels...assumed too much! sweat.gif
Good lesson learnt liao.

That's why got saying...We live, We learn...

wub.gif Bem Bem
Just drain your radiator tank, pour the 1.5 bottle of coolant in to your radiator tank, fill it up with water. Start your engine, then continue proceed to add the rest 1/2 bottle into the reservoir tank, fill up half full of water into the reserve tank will do. Choices of liquid can be normal tap water, but they're very active agents such as chlorine, heavy metal in the tap water. Should you sayang the car so damn much, go hyper market buy a 5 liter bottled distill water, buy another extra 1.5litre for the reservoir tank. yawn.gif

As far as I know, premixed coolant does not supply in less than 1 litre form whistling.gif

Tks a meg, Bro YAB!
Yr advice means a lot... notworthy.gif

Dared not do the DIY rad coolant replacement yet...
Dun wan 2throw away my hard-saved $$ juz like dat lo... sweat.gif

Nvr had such dilemma b4 cos of juz coolant replacement nia...
Also nvr used such named LLC b4...
Times certainly hv changed alot the way things are/were done since.... rolleyes.gif

Was planning do 20k Km (24 mths) service items 1 by 1 under own porch...

thanks~
But usually go service will bring back the bottle with little leftover oil. Why ah? Is it cause got some remnant oil left in the engine during service that is not replaced? :S
*
QUOTE(lhwj @ May 1 2013, 03:47 PM)
My bottle never gets returned to me, but when I watch them pour the oil they typically leave the bottle upside down at the oil fill hole for quite a few minutes. Likewise, when they pull out the drain plug it's also left for quite a few minutes so the old oil should be almost completely drained hmm.gif

Strictly speaking, according to the manual it's 3.75L for the oil pan and another 0.3L for the oil filter.
*
Yup, Bro... notworthy.gif

Me hv done EO change via DIY under my porch...
Re above, there are a few possibilities :
1. That bottle of oil might not hv exactly 4L of oil;
2. The mech did not pour in all the oil...not like wat the mech did in yr case;
3. Worst scenario : a hint of possibility that the Oil Filter might not hv been changed... sweat.gif
