rclxms.gif use a wider angle and your subject will get smaller too hahahahaa
*
Not if I take two steps foward LOL

Give it a try with any zoom lens and see, it's possible to maintain the apparent size of the subject in the photo while including or excluding the background depending on the focal length you use. biggrin.gif

[Edit] Here's an example of what i'm talking about

i know what you mean, but i doubt you can see much more background with a wider angle with this composition that you have chosen. oh, and exposure too
*
Well, honestly I have no idea what I would get as well since I don't have a wider lens at that time sweat.gif

But the skies which I'm exposing for is really nice, so I wanted more of it in the shot, regardless of whether my subjects will be blocking them. brows.gif

LOLs I only know how to recreate the effects, dunno how to explain how it's done in detail.

But here's a link to a post with photos ranging from 12mm to 200mm. An interesting read thumbup.gif

Exploring how focal length affects images

Thinking of getting a 90mm F/2.8 VC to do double duty as portrait lens and also to replace my current 60mm F/2 Macro lens

Or maybe just buy the 85mm 1.8G as a pure tele/portait solution.

Any thoughts on this??

but AF more the tamron macro lens is slow, maybe wont be so good for portrait
*
The AF speed is quite comparable, since the Tamron is using a USD motor, and the 1.8G not really that fast (1.4G is way faster rclxub.gif )

Think it's possible for either the D4s or D400 to have built in wifi like the 6D?

Wireless tethered shooting for outdoor portraiture, can show your work to subjects instantly on a 10 inch screen(ipad for instance) rather than a 3 inch one. Interesting? brows.gif

Edit: oh, and for other types of photography, checking for sharpness also easier on a bigger screen. On the other hand it's kind of a hassle to have another device on hand tho.

whoops, clicked reply instead of edit doh.gif
