lack of game starts? his last start was something like 10 matches ago? BR is probably just gonna groom him further until the day gerrard retires...which by then jonjo should be nearing his peak.

I agree Brazilians keepers are not good but don't think they were bad Cavalieri went back to Brazil and won himself a couple on international caps too..Aurelio was just made of glass. If he was fit, i think his technical skills would served us good, maybe even in the current squad.

Many keepers around but duno whether they are good enough or affordable.. good young ones maybe Ter Stegen, Leno, Courtois(if Chelsea could sell to us for 15mil)..haha..Maybe our very own Gulacsi?

cavalieri was instrumental in helping fluminese win the league title...i think he had more clean sheets than reina has. so can we then say, brazil have crappy forwards who cant get past cavalieri?

If another midfielder or Eriksen joins, i would like to see Shelvey loaned out for experience in a PREMIER LEAGUE team..not Blackpool or Blackburn..Maybe at the promoted clubs. Toughen him up and gives him PL experience rather than just playing cup and u-21 games..

On his day, he is still good. Still remember the brace he scored in Europa? Not that bad. But ever since the Oldham game, he has been spiraling down all the way.
He's young and he's lack of confidence at the moment. He will become good and hopefully take over from Steve.

heh..Brazil does have crappy forwards..All their forwards now are not true CF..They just have good midfielders.. The only recent good forwards probably are Romario and the original Ronaldo. Anyway, Brazil don't need good GK, they have good defenders. I don't remember Taffarel being great but he had Aldair in front of him..

Have to bear in mind though that the Brazilian league is not as competitive as the big leagues. Not to say the league or the players aren't good but it is less competitive with not as many good players in it.
