Of course what he does will be put under a microscope. He has a high profile and plays for a club that is well known the world over.
Imagine BR and Ian Ayre having to argue his case with the yanks even now. BR should not fight too hard for him if the yanks are really angry. KD got the sack partly because he stuck his neck out for this chap. Personally, I think Luis Suarez is not our kind of player. He is talented, strong and skilful but he is too used to doing what he likes to do and/or feels like doing. I understand where the comments of Hansen, Sounness, Lawrenson etc.. are coming from.. Not just embarrassing but damaging too. |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Apr 23 2013, 03:23 PM) Precisely what I was afraid off what with him being not just an ambassador for the club, but a role model for children. Not exactly a Cantona but...Having said that, I do still think that anything Suarez does is put under a microscope. I'm sure someone, somewhere has done a "Cantona", or a "Zidane" but no one reported it, or rather, no news agency thought it was worthwhile to report. Assault leaves ref impotent http://www.sport24.co.za/Soccer/Assault-le...potent-20130422 QUOTE Mombasa - A Kenyan referee is suing the national football federation, saying he was left impotent after a coach grabbed and squeezed his testicles in a pitch invasion. Referee Martin Wekesa said he was seeking $240 000 in compensation from FKF after the alleged assault in a game in September last year, when he was kicked and hit by members of the Sparki Youth team before being "attacked in my private parts" by one of the coaching staff. Wekesa said Daudi Kajembe came onto the field and assaulted him after a decision to send a Sparki player off. "He pulled my testicles. He actually pressed them and I was hanging on him when he was pulling me. I was crying and could not get myself out from his hands," Wekesa said. "I remember Kajembe told me, raising his hand, 'I can kill you in a minute,' and came directly to my testicles." Wekesa was rescued by a police officer, he said, but slumped to his knees in pain on the pitch before being taken to the hospital. He is now unable to have sex with his wife, he claims, saying it is "impossible." "It is so painful, painful, painful in my areas," he said. |

I cannot understand this. Never have and never will.
Why is Luis Suarez speculated to get 7 match ban? A violent conduct is normally amounted to 3 match ban but it is special treatment for Suarez? I dont know if what Suarez did was as worse as the Arsenal players pushing and chasing Ruud Van Nistlerooy in a gangster style or Ashley Cole's Pizza throwing incident. You talked about an elbow and a straight red card. A dangerous tackle and a straight red card. A slap on the face and a straight red card. These are violent conduct or improper conduct on the field. So how is a harmless bite can be resorted to 7 match ban? Did Ivanovic check in to emergency unit? Did he almost lost his arm or he has any bacteria infection now? THE FA IS AGAIN BEING RIDICULOUS! Are they really taking it out on Suarez or Liverpool? Are we really disturbing their lives too much? IF they give Suarez a 3 match to 4 match ban plus a heavy fine. Hands down! That is absolutely spot on and I have no complain. If they ban Suarez for 7 matches and then heavy fine, I am gonna be really pissed. To hell with the FA! I guess hurting Liverpool is ok because we are bl00dy scousers after all. For years they accused the people of peeing on dead bodies, so what;s more they cant do?How many times have we seen this from them? Some more JFT96 group wanted to take action against the FA for approving the venue prior to the incident, FA must be very very butthurt. No maybe pr1ckhurt, b00bhurt, ballhurt as well, to sum it up every private part hurt. So Liverpool deserves to get unjust treatment because we are public enemy no.1? Just like certain ruling government throwing people to ISA. Haih. |

GUS POYET sums it up!
"There are players who have done terrible things and apologised after two minutes and have been portrayed as a hero for apologising quickly. "Luis Suarez apologises immediately and nobody believes the apology. It's sad. Are they living their personal lives by the same rules? I don't like that. There is plenty of hypocrisy in football now. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11669/8666928? HYPOCRITES! If it's liverpool it must be terrible. Bunch of MU in the FA and media? |

This is why we cannot have such a player.
1) he is already a marked man, like it or not 2) the English FA is full of rubbish, like it or not 3) yet he cannot or does not control himself and keep getting in trouble with this bunch of rubbish This has not that much to do with LFC, but the Reds are dragged into it unnecessarily. If he gets 7, I don't the yanks would want to appeal but I got a feeling they'll tell BR to get rid of him..or else. |
