Last night mother Sharon Ellis said the attack on her son Ryan, 11, was a direct result of the example Suarez had set.

She said: ‘Suarez’s actions on the football field have led to my son being bitten. The boys were at the school’s breakfast club and there had been some altercation because someone had stood on someone’s foot. The other boy turned round to my son and said, “I’m going to do a Luis Suarez, I’m going to bite you”.

‘And then he went ahead and bit his upper right arm. He then went around bragging to the other children that he had “done a Suarez”.’

Miss Ellis, 45, from Connah’s Quay, North Wales, said Ryan –  a Liverpool fan – was left with a bruised upper arm. ‘He was a bit shaken. The bite went through two layers of clothing and left a mark,’ she said.

‘These aren’t nursery school children, you don’t expect 11-year-olds to go around biting each other. They looked at what Luis Suarez did, he did not even get sent off.’

Dont get me wrong, Fergie is still a winner like Mourinho. But always a class below in terms of being a classy manager.

Precisely what I was afraid off what with him being not just an ambassador for the club, but a role model for children.

Having said that, I do still think that anything Suarez does is put under a microscope. I'm sure someone, somewhere has done a "Cantona", or a "Zidane" but no one reported it, or rather, no news agency thought it was worthwhile to report.

Mombasa - A Kenyan referee is suing the national football federation, saying he was left impotent after a coach grabbed and squeezed his testicles in a pitch invasion.

Referee Martin Wekesa said he was seeking $240 000 in compensation from FKF after the alleged assault in a game in September last year, when he was kicked and hit by members of the Sparki Youth team before being "attacked in my private parts" by one of the coaching staff.

Wekesa said Daudi Kajembe came onto the field and assaulted him after a decision to send a Sparki player off.

"He pulled my testicles. He actually pressed them and I was hanging on him when he was pulling me. I was crying and could not get myself out from his hands," Wekesa said. "I remember Kajembe told me, raising his hand, 'I can kill you in a minute,' and came directly to my testicles."

Wekesa was rescued by a police officer, he said, but slumped to his knees in pain on the pitch before being taken to the hospital. He is now unable to have sex with his wife, he claims, saying it is "impossible."

"It is so painful, painful, painful in my areas," he said.
