QUOTE(zahri @ Apr 28 2006, 02:48 AM) erm 8c drop on air cooling is GOOD.. Only 2c drop ? I think u can get higher difference with water, maybe u need to tweak ur wc setup to get higher differences which also depends on your wc setup. I myself get roughly 8-10c differences with water. For comparison, last time i was using TT Volcano 11+ with 46c idle temp and load temp at around 52c. Now i can get 42c load with my T-Bred B, and 2c lower with a Barton core proc with the same setup at the same speed 2.2Ghz @ 1.7V.i only dropped to 10c on WAterCooling.. only the difference of 2c between air and water thinking of building an Air Cooling RIG soon.... Thermalright is definitely on the list |

Maybe the temp a bit high because of the submerged pump Well, i am trying my luck with a new set of watercooling kit. Hopefully i will get better results |

hi all,
i m using XP2000 with K7Ndelta. my processor always shoot up to 58 - 60 degree when i do full load 100% processor. but when idle only 43 degree (normal browsing only 46-47 degree) my HSF is original from AMD added artic silver II thermal paste (borrow from franz) processor at normal speed (no overclock) casing open both side 1) is it processor rosak edi? 2) should i put the CPU warning at 65 degree above? 3) buy better fan will help? |

Not rosak, maybe your ambient temp is high so it will lead to a higher load temp. 2) should i put the CPU warning at 65 degree above? Maybe u should. Having at temperature that high would lead to a shorter lifespan for the proc. 3) buy better fan will help? Hell yeah. Buy any full copper hsf with a good fan so that that combo would perform to the fullest. Thermalright SI97A or Thermaltake Big Typhoon or Coolermaster Aero 7+. You can get these from moderno at Bulk Sales. |

QUOTE(yloon @ May 12 2006, 01:38 AM) hi all, Bro, ur temp is like my temp when i was on stock heatsink ... like now i m using XP2000 with K7Ndelta. my processor always shoot up to 58 - 60 degree when i do full load 100% processor. but when idle only 43 degree (normal browsing only 46-47 degree) my HSF is original from AMD added artic silver II thermal paste (borrow from franz) processor at normal speed (no overclock) casing open both side 1) is it processor rosak edi? 2) should i put the CPU warning at 65 degree above? 3) buy better fan will help? Full load around 55-58 @ stock heatsink. I dunt think ur processor rosak already.... if not sure ur pc cannot use rite now If i were u , i wud put it at 65c , even mine is set at 65c You should get a better fan and heatsink... If u have the money and dont mind hassle's , can go for watercooling, if not just go for Copper / ALuminium heatsink , Thermalright SLK800A or Thermalright si-97 , Thermaltake Pipe 101 , thermaltake GOLF325 .... COOLERMASTER GOOD LUCK |

i changed from stock heatsink to cm xtream III...
temp maybe reduce 2C, but noise reduce alot!! the fan is running 2000rpm only... stock 6cm hsf runs at 4500++rpm... max temp is 53C i think during heavy load...normal internet browsing is 46C... i dun care much bout temp, jz that the noise matters... |

So hot ar all all the procs, i think better get a decent cooling before anything happened. 10c drop can make the procs have twice longer lifespan.
