Getting Started

|
I have a spare Athlon XP 2400+ with a MSI KM4M board - and they are still working correctly. The thing is, I wanna cool it to until below 50 degrees - cause my stock cooling is extremely hot - until 50~65 celcius. So which one do you recommend for these cooling sets? I don't know - but do stores in Low Yat still sell Thermalright SI-97 and the Artic Ceramique? How much is the price? and have anyone um... tried these combinations before?

arctic ceramic? why bother? Go for arctic silver instead. SI97 I think there's a few bulkers out there who can order for you. But Socket 7 cooling solutions nowadays are roughly the same. Just get a high cfm fan to match with your heatsink choice

Check out at Overclocker's Paradise. Si-97A is recommended, since it can be used on S939 later on in future, I'm using one now btw

for buying any product with heatpipe. plz becareful to check and ensure each heatpipe works(transfer heat).
it isn't that get from bulk means bad. but, preferable from local shop, instead when facing any rma issue, is promisable.

if the temperature shoots up or not much changes, there are problems with the heatpipe.
I manage to get 8degree cooler proc after using a Si-97A, pairing it with a lower noise fan.

revving towards 10,000 rpm
|
thermaltake 9cm smart fan
or other oem/industrial fan such as NMB, Nidec, Delta, etc...
but Thermalright themselves recommended Panaflo if I'm not mistaken
