and oh - please please please don't use Generals / ZH engine unless it's really improved to have no more MISMATCH. play online also can have mismatch.........aihh.

the play 8 player map - gone case man lag like silly. last time i thought machine not powerful. now i nearly 2x everything already still slow.

I cant help but feel EA will screw this up. I mean they even managed to screw up a repackaging of the old CNC games.

I seriously hope they go back to the CNC we all know and love, instead of just creating another clone and branding the game with the CNC name like they did with Generals.

Generals was a good game, but it was NOT CNC. They took away everything that made CNC what it was.

Hopefully they will come back to their senses and make the game exactly like the way it has always been since the start.

Yup, you are correct. Must have got mixed up because of all the C&C 3 hype.

The german special tank is called the Tank Destroyer it deals better damage to vehicle type units.

By the way, many people in the online community disaprove of the use of the Grand Canon.

Same here. I hope EA won't completely kill off the original C&C style.

question: what makes a CnC? A Light Tank that looks like a combined stick, circle and a rectangle?

To destroy ground units/buildings, use Prism tank lah. Rocketeer only for guarding the prism tanks.

Not sure how to explain, but I think it's the concept on how C&C works. One example is in The First Decade interview it was explained how Westwood made real life FMV into the original C&C game it's self, during that time it was deemed impossible by many to even have real life cinematic cutscenes in a CD-ROM game. But in the end Westwood did it!

personally i have no problems with CnC 3 using Generals engine. It's slow but at least it's better than viewing moving 'brick's and pixelled 'bits' rockets. retro's good, but overdoing it is not...

...hope to see improved gameplay and interface...

I always liked the Orca from the very first C&C. I never liked its counterpart the Orca Fighter from Tiberian Sun though...that thing fired missiles too slow to be effective unlike the first one...strike and run.

Tanya? LOL. No no, I still prefer the Commando unit from the original C&C and Renegade. Until now, I don't think a female commando wielding dual pistols can take down an entire army of troops, much less fire effectively from such a long range just doesn't make sense. No offense to "Tanya" fans out there. laugh.gif

Actually both Tanya and the commando unit are the same.

Tanya's dual guns very bising .... the commando uses some silencer pistol.

The commando is way cooler then Tanya .... after killing like 30 infantries, he'll say "Keep them coming" flex.gif

hate that Tank Destroyer, the problem with that tank is that the cannons don't pivot. so to shoot at a target from 1 side and to move another direction, arrgghh they're sitting ducks.

as for the Grand Cannon, i donno - some how i find it useless. many times also resulted in friendly fire.

I still remember last time use 5 elite prism tanks, aim it to one enemy soldier in their base, lol the prism just reflect to most of the unit beside him, including all the buildings. Wow few shots only kill them all ! (I found that prism beam is extremely effective against building.

Uh...the game you mentioned where it had moving bricks and pixel bits rocket....well it sold 10Million copies. Overall I'm glad to see C&C going back to the Tiberian universe and will be using real life actors for its FMVs drool.gif .
Hopefully Joe Kucan(KANE) will return, and I pray the acting won't be as atrocious as NFS Most Wanted.

Anyone here read the PC gamer article? I read it over PlanetCNC. very nice....and the Sage engine(Generals and BFME) looks uber cool and I won't be suprised if the minimum requirements is Shader Model 3.0 rclxm9.gif
