The broadcom is known to have better performance. Its 11ac. But ill choose killer bcoz of the traffic shaping tech. And the name more macho one! Also to get 11ac performance u need 11ac router which is still scarce.

Use Intel RST to set the mSATA as cache for your main drive.
That's how.

BUT...
it's still slow compared to SSD.

I just need to convert to UEFI and ill be good. bcoz i am already running SSD as my main drive. So RST will do no good.

for the short time i have with Killer...

havent tried online games though...

after noticing that the new vindicator backpack has no scanfast....
i might go to Orion.

And now the Orion is cheaper a bit... =)

but the vindicator hard case looks interesting...

I maybe will be getting the Orion instead of the Vindicator.
Bcoz no more Scanfast capability in Vindicator...
And Orion is cheaper...

Usage Update!

It can run Borderlands 2 smoothly with Low PhysX and Low View Distance.
But the temp increase is quite significant....
Once temp is high, performance suffers!
Palm rests are cool, keyboard is cool, rear exhaust fan is hot.
So i say the SSD upgrade helps with the temps.

End Update.

Before the SSD i can feel the warmth.
after SSD...just cool!

my GPU runs arnd 63-64oC while playing borderlands 2....
to me that's not too high....yet...
but afetr arnd 10-15 mins...performance drops....
is there something wrong? =(

i dunno but very significant.
it goes from silky smooth to rough rocky roads!

It seems the lag happens only for a short while.
Then it resumes as normal.
Not heat-related bcoz my temp for gpu never went above 65 and cpu never beyond 75...

so i guess i may be the RAM or some weird thing is happening...
Anyhow...
Very satisfied with the performance my this beast!

Ill do another test with a different game later...

Bcoz even my ex-Asus S56cm with a 635m has no lag issues playing Borderlands 2.
So still doing some more tests to confirm the lag issue.
Will update accordingly.
