ive been using lumia 520 for a month i think maybe almost...first problem i encounter is the physical camera button is not working, but i already found out how to overcome the problem,just need to allign the button from the phone with the physical button on the case..now mine is working perfect(altho kinda hard to use it). Not a heavy user just light browsing and gaming,battery life is mediocre..but got 1 time the phone get warm(almost hot) even tho there no app running at he back. The OS is smooth and screen is good. Im working at construction site and always had my phone with me.Surprisingly there is not single scratch on the screen right now. The speaker sound is kinda thin but still loud at some point. The nokia map and nokia Drive here is a good sofware. The Qualcomm snapdragon S4 chip is really good..even tho running at 1ghz still can beat my samsung galaxy s2 on locating my location.its fast and almost 98% accurate..really helps me when i need to meet clients. I prefer this nokia over my S2 because it feels "stronger" and rarely hang. No compass but still i think this is the best bang for buck phone ( erm maybe lumia 620 better) because the difference in price is like rm 40 only. Im happy using it.

How to force your Nokia Lumia to use 3g/WCDMA only

Dail ##3282
Press ... then Settings
Network type -> 3G only
UTMS band -> automatic
Press Window home button to quick.

Now you can enjoy 3G/WCDMA network only on your Lumia 520.

one thing about 520.. is

the cover quality is really really lacking till the point it affects the buttons on the side.
so far this the most common problem i get back from my buyers.

if can fork out a bit of extra money, i reckon my buyers to go for 620. since should be noticing a minor price drop on 620 in the market.

eventually the issue will arise again. as its the cover / button quality problem
the quality built of the cover and the button is a not as good as 620.

520 might be cheap and value in terms of the hardward & software / OS that you will be getting.
the casing is neglected though...

may i know to those having lumia 520, the (back,windows logo and the search buttons on the front of the device does it have the white lights on when in dark area or it does not have any lights at all

I have tried reset the phone, change the brightness to auto and restart many times still no lights on those buttons.

If there is any solutions for it, please do let me know. First time user for windows phone.

Thanks in advanced.

I'm planning to get Lumia 520. After some extensive research online, I found there seems to be quite a few users complaining about phone getting very hot. According to them, the heat buildup within 5 minutes when using 3G web surfing or using the camera.

Any Lumia 520 user here experience the same situation?

if the price diff for 520 and 720 is too big.

interested buyers can try out 620.

620 price going down a bit.

Owh I see. Hopefully the telcos will somehow open their own apps market and allow us to purchase the apps by our telco's credit. That would be easier for many people. Just 1 sms and you can download those fun apps.

That is why I think it is a good idea if windows apps can also be purchased like that. I think it would make a very good business to the telco operators. Maybe if there is any celcom, maxis or digi staff here that read this may suggest this to their boss.

It will also increase the awareness and popularity of windows phone and this will lead to more windows phone users and then lead to more windows apps be developed by developers out there. rclxm9.gif

Yeah, I know. I just think if there is any other alternative aside from credit/debit card, it would be better. More flexible and it could benefit those who doesn't own any debit/credit card.

Btw, any interesting games that u may recommend for Lumia 520?
