I re-fuelled RM40 last thursday/friday and I only went to the market once. I didn't go anywhere after that.

Just now I wanted to start my car to buy food, and then kenot start. I tot is bateri but I pasang radio ok only.

Then I see fuel indicator say fuel is ZERO!! WHERE DID IT ALL GO?!


Only yesterday I checked the fuel tank was full What's going on?


Should I bring my car to bengkel takut rosak?

Did someone really stole my fuel?



- Already fill in 5litre worth of fuel... Waited for 5 minutes. No leakage.

- The fuel indicator still blinking showing this:




- Check minyak hitam, still OK. Checked battery, still ok.

- Radio, fan, lights all still working. Can still play CD some more.

- Still kenot start. Got sound "Chuk...chuk.." like that. Fuel indicator still shows zero.




UPDATE:


- Neighbor came to inspect. Battery problem LOL.

- He changed the battery for me too. He said the battery kiok dy... I was careless because I thought normal battery last 1.5 years /2 years... but mine only like 1 year 4 months. Mana tahu battery tak ikut schedule tepat and die early.

- Now everything works fine dy. Fuel tank also penuh. Wheeee!

- Men are so awesome! I respect sama kaum lelaki banyak2.





So lesson learnt:

- If car sounds 'Chuk..chuk...' and not 'chhhhrkrkrkrrkkrrkrkrkrkrhchchck' turn on lampu besar, lampu dalam, radio everything, and try to start the car for 2-3 times. If battery problem, sure the 'chuk chuk' sound will disappear by the second or third time you wanna start because battery not enough power to start your engine.

- Learned how to change own battery dy. Just need sepana and know where to cucuk.

- Learned how to check for leakage bawah kereta.

- Learned to spare battery inside car when your battery reach 1 year old already, just in case. Also need to buy sepana and jumpstarter for emergencies.

Yep. Its the cheapest petrol you can find in any market. Just need to work a bit and don't fret about type. Just don't use diesel if your engine is not that type.

Go and tapau 2L of petrol back first and test, pour in and see whether leaking or not.

Ppl can easily steal your petrol from your car, but steal until u unable to start, need some very serious expert, cause even your tank is empty(best most ppl can do), there are still fuel in pipes connecting to the engine, maybe unable to last long, but still u can travel a bit. if seriously empty, most likely some US secret agent is working something on you.

If you unable to start your car, and most of the time(depends on car) the fuel meter just wont work.

That's why I'm quite baffled. I still can't be certain whether it's leakage, or someone stole the fuel, or fault in the car engine or w/e. AFAIHC, there is no fuel residue or fuel smell on the road, and it was working fine just 3 days ago.

lol last time my proton saga fuel nut from below. they opened it n drained all my petrol . lol .. i called mechanic and he cant stop laughing when he found out somebody stole my fuel. lol i was stunned too ahah

there are many reason why u cannot start your car, without fuel is one of many possibilities, if you really want to know still got fuel or not, there is a screw right under your petrol tank, just loosen it and if petrol leak out pretty fast means still got petrol.

all u need is

1 long hose
1 human with breathing ability

1. kopek the tank door
2. insert hose deep deep
3. put the other end of hose into your mouth
4. suck suck suck it till you see liquid flowing out
5. aim hose into pail
6. ?????

Kesan umpil cover minyak - tiada
Kesan minyak tumpah - tiada
Bau minyak bocor - tiada
Penutup tempat minyak - tiada

Kesimpulannya, SM beli minyak, lupa tutup cap. Minyak evaporate keluar. Sekian hasil penyiasatan saya.

Weekends I didn't go anywhere so I didn't checked the car at all... Not sure if can evaporate in 2 days...

Yeah RM40 punya fuel can evaporate in 2 days time till completely dry.

Check ur fuel door there got sign of force entry or not... Usually they kobek , cungkil open it... Then suck out petrol using a long pipe... Usually they would take 5-20 litre only.. Most of thr rest evaporated due to hot weather n petrol property.. Count ourself lucky car didnt catch fire... Fuel cap itself i got replacement for rm 50 bucks... Tis time with cable line 1... I cable tied it down straight... I go report police jus in case car got marked for 2nd entry.... Police took the report...but laughing when taking it...

how long from the day u bought the car.. Have u chg the battery? Normal batt can stand for 1-1.5 yrs.. Some even go to 2yrs... But thats about it...

Probably batt kaput already...still have around 12.1v to light the lights n bulbs but not enuf to start the engine

better check ur car petrol tank leaks or not...

I don't think it is anything to do with your fuel levels dy... sounds more electrical than anything...

If you have jump cables, try jump starting with your neighbour's car to see if miki is right about the battery. (if you have voltmeter to read the battery's voltage right away, also good)

Oh ya SM, you've mentioned about the chkrchkr and chuk chuk sounds. Check for starter or alternator problems, my car also chuk chuk last year, turned out to be a defective alternator. Check the battery as well

I believe for a car to start = 12.8V ? somewhere around there. yes other things can operate, but not enough to spark the plug

alternator prob: while the car is in motion, the alternator did not supply charge to the battery > battery drain (car still can move/depends on models) > after engine off, can't start back (the fuel indicator might not initiate as well)
