Apple isn't gonna' give anything away for free. The new prices now include the cost of the extra RAM and hard drive space, just as when you would customise your order with Apple. Most people do want more RAM and drive space, so they're just saving people the time and trouble. Nothing else.

what apple does might save a bit of money......
coz if we were to upgrade the rams ourselves....we are wasting perfectly good rams......coz we have to take the 2x256 out and replace it with 2x512....... |

QUOTE(lokgotz @ Jul 5 2006, 09:57 AM) yeah...i updated the firmware...... reboot your machine while holding Command + S key until the Apple logo disappears and come across a bunch of white text on a black background aka DOS-like command prompt....how do i run fsck?? i printed out the manual and followed closely the instructions....but cannot also...i cant even install xp yet.....stuck at partition of the drive... from there, type "fsck -f", press enter.... it'll check your HD for problems.... once everything completes, take note of the (if any) unusual error messages.... to exit, just type "reboot" and press enter..... |
