most ppl would spend more for the sake of using OSX and to escape the Windows world...

however, spending so much just for the sake of running Windows... blink.gif blink.gif might as well use the same amount of money to custom-built your dream rig....

PS: scenario applied....

MacBook Anticipation

Mac News
The wait for the revised Intel iBook (aka MacBook) continues, alongside speculation about the release date of the MacBook. Several readers have pointed out analyst speculation that the Intel iBook could be released as soon as tomorrow. This would be on the eve of Apple's Q2 2006 Financial Results.

If that date falls through, according to reports, internal CPU sales goals at retail Apple Stores have been increased substantially starting in May. These estimates suggest Apple is expecting a boost to sales for their CPUs in the next four weeks.

The most recent reports have claimed that the 13.3" Intel MacBook is in production with target release dates ranging from May to June.

is that true?

who knows? but it's Apple tradition to keep the price tag around the range of the previous model.

*nod nod* it might start out a lil more expensive here before they think of phasing out the iBooks.

Q2 sounds like mid-2006 to me. rclxm9.gif

Dammit just release it, now here's one loyal mac user running out of patience!! Been waiting for a 13.3" MacBook for my sister before having to settle to with VAIO SZ, which cost equally the same as MacBook Pro - now who says using Windows is cheap? To get a reliable machine running crappy OS, there's still a price to pay tongue.gif
