They are the same in terms of performance. VRAM doesn't affect performance (DON'T listen to what the salesperson tell you that higher is better!) icon_rolleyes.gif

Can refer to this as well if you are interested~
We always use these for comparisons:

Benchmark: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphi...List.844.0.html

Gaming: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Game...ds.13849.0.html
Just look for the GPUs you are interested in icon_rolleyes.gif

1. Preferred Brand: Any brand will do.
2. Budget: RM3K
3. Usage: Gaming and university work
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: Any size will do.

I play games that does not really have heavy graphics occasionally. And also, I heard that Lenovo Y400/Y500 has overheating prob? :s

1. Preferred Brand: Anything except Acer and dell
2. Budget: RM2000
3. Usage: For medium photo and video editing and light gaming (like skyrim on high spec hehe)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14"

Like you said, Lenovo Y410p and Y500/Y510p nod.gif
No they don't have overheating problems... they just get hot when on load (gaming/rendering), just like all laptops do tongue.gif

Can consider these (only recommending the faster ones icon_rolleyes.gif)
14"
HP [Ultrabook] Envy4-1009TU/1019TU, i3-2367M + Intel HD3000 + 32GB mSATA+ 500GB(5400rpm)@RM1899[Beats][1.75kg], 4GB, W7HP

Lenovo [Ultrabook]S400, i5-3317U + Intel HD4000 + 24GB mSATA + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM1999[1.8kg], 4GB, W7HB; AMD HD7450M/W8@RM2199

Toshiba [Ultrabook] Satellite U840-1009X, i3-3217M + AMD HD7550M + (32GB mSATA + 500GB HDD)@RM1899[1.7kg], 4GB, W8P; backlit keyboard

The inclusion of an mSATA SSD will give you that extra performance gain, giving you a much faster, smoother computing experience~

Lenovo offers better warranty support than Asus nod.gif
Can consider the Z400, which is pretty much the best budget gaming notebook at the moment:
14"
Lenovo Z400, i5-3230M + Nvidia GT740M@RM2099, 4GB, 1TB, W8; 2 years warranty; colors: chocolate
