1. Preferred Brand : Anything but Acer
2. Budget: about RM4000
3. Usage: Engineering simulation, gaming, presentation so not too flashy like AW or Asus G series.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 15 inch
5. Warranty : min 2 years.

I'm considering the following
1. Lenovo Y500 SLI GT750M
2. Lenovo Y510p SLI GT750M
3. Illegear RE-15

Please advice or comment. Thanks.

I was very lucky to find this thread. It's truly great! Hello peeps, and i'm posting here like the others, would like someone to recommend which would be the best laptop following my needs.

1. Preferred Brand - Any but Sony, Dell, Acer, Toshiba

2. Budget - RM 2-2.5k

3. Usage - Internet surfing, gaming (I cant differentiate if my online games that i used to play are categorized as hardcore, currently playing Rift and DC Universe Online) and recording game-play

4. Preferred laptop's screen size - 15-17 (i dont even know if 17's are available within my budget lol)

5. Additional preferences - i7 CPU, 7200 rpm hard drive if available (haha), it would be great within this range of resolution (1600 x 900 or 1920 x 1080)

* Thanks in advance for those who participant actively, cheers!
