OMG, yesterday i accompany my friend go AIMST, got 263 students -.- so much students. Oh ya, I saw one student quite funny, asking his father : Papa, what is race, what is religion...... When he is on stage registering

lol, mayb his english very teruk.

what i heard is got about 300++ student...
the lecture theatre just now,, packed with people and some even need to get additional chairs.....

orientation normally eld at orientation hall le. too many ppl still cant accomodate all?

No la, actually i flip through the namelist at payment account, got 393 applicants, but turn out, only 263 FOUNDATION IN SCIENCE students really go register.... The number not include diploma in nursing/physiology.... the number source are from the parents meeting briefing

some will register late, so the number will still increasing.

yshiuan are Aimst student?

well, this has come to my suprise, really. race/religion-are these new vocabularies?? post-spm student? fresh foundation student? sad to say that, but it is true. the quality of spm doesnt meet the standard anymore, but quantity is.wondering when is the last time for the ministry to revise the benchmark of spm?
that's why im eagerly awaiting for any screening procedure which will be implemented for future undergraduates, particularly for those who are keen to pursue any health science programme.

LT1 couldn't accomodate you guys? Wow, then it must be more than 300 students. Wonder where will the class be held, 200 more will be in for MBBS this august. AIMST definitely needa watch out the amount of students intake.

Ps. Roken : I think some sorta interview process is needed to screen out those who're not eligible for the programmes esp medicine. Just couldn't stand it when i see juniors with blonde hairs, guys with all sorta hairstyles and earrings entering the lecture theatres. Come on, this is a medical faculty!

if the student intakes are getting bigger and bigger, yet without any additional of lecture theaters. and i can forecast that, self-directed learning system will be put on effect. student will only spend 30% of lecturing hours, 20% of lab, and the rest percentage, self directed learning. therefore, more lecture theaters will be available for the other batches. watchout juniors!!!lolzz ;D

i think all degree students will get affected, especially the course without constant lecture rooms.
wonder why aimst take so many foundation students.

Biotech intake ald limit their intake to 50ppl per intake. but i'm sure not many ppl wanna enter. haiz...

I got the feeling that it's for the moneyyyy. AIMST will always be AIMST. I mean it's fine to take in more students, unless they've got sufficient facillities provided for their students. Currently, there will even be shortages of faculty members if they were to take in another 200 in august. Probably you guys can propose to upgrade some of the facillities.

aimst already run out of lecture hall and rooms and still want to take in so many students... they shud reconsider... aiks... i wonder if medic batch 15 comes with 200 students a class... so hard to concentrate later....

how was the orientation?

boring la,last night 12.57 a.m. something my roommate juz accidently open door for those idiot ragged us.Can't sleep,only had nap for a while.....
After the orientation 12.30,directly go to sleep for 1+ hours.N now feel better

Haha, i sneak in the parents briefing, I heard, medic will only take 200 students based on merit system, other unlucky students will offer other eligible course and the students affair (Indian tall guy) person said they will try to convert own eligible students (Foundation in Science) to JPA scholars Hope quality of education won't go down as the quantity of students went up. Hypothesis : The more the students enroll, the lousier the education level. Hope AIMST can prove my Hypothesis is WRONG. Finally, THE MORE THE MERRIER for AIMST
