i also cut my sim to micro sim,can connect to hsdpa.in Network app u can try to change the network to WCDMA ONLY.try&see the network data icon.

errrmm weird.i think u should try go to place that have strong 3g coverage then try one more time.

ya , faster solution . Root it , install cwm and also , dl the firmware that was posted by DynamicG a page or 2 back . Flash it via CWM . Dont worry about root , it will go back to stock after u flash the firmware

Since you are on latest firmware why don't you try factory reset n wipe cache partition first instead reflash the rom
Press simultaneously volup, voldown, power n than select recovery. Than select wipe cache partition follow by factory reset

I found a few baseband the other day , not for Vega no6 but for Vega R3 . Their hardware is actually the same except a few things like screen size , touch pad . I dont know if it will work or will it brick your phone but if u r desperate to test it , the link is here . Baseband version wise , my baseband is inside for download .

Previous baseband may too advanced for Malaysia to support..
